Thanks Eaglepilot,

Yes, it appears I am referring to dealer options (trailer hitch, day/night mirror, running boards, fog lights, etc)

I can the see the MSRP on the Honda site for these items and will assume I have to haggle on these at the dealer level, or I could include in my letter to the dealers and let the competition keep those prices low too.

Any advice from others on what is reasonable to expect to pay for those sort of options would be welcome.

Thanks all.

07 Pilot EX-L 2WD $27300 + TTL
Option: rear mud splash + trunk cover (1/2 price of msrp)

at Cleo Bay Honda in Kileen, Texas.

I chosed to finance 0.9%/3year so need to add $1500.

Also Gunn Honda in San Antonio give the same price but would not budge on Option price. The manager was pushing me to buy, that also not a good move for him. I like to do it in my own term.

ffxbuyr - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I bought my 2007 Pilot EX-L 4WD last night so I have been very busy. I ended up buying from West Broad Honda in Richmond VA. I live in Richmond area. They were great to deal with! I was out the door for $29,700 just like they promised. That price already included wheel locks, rear mudflaps, and a pinstripe. In your area, I got OTD pricing of $30,240.89 from Koons Honda (Manassas), also got OTD $29,644 pricing from Heritage Honda (Parkville MD). The interent guy I worked with from Heritage was very nice and helpful. I paid $56 more in Richmond, but was worth it to not have to drive all that way up to NOVA. In addition, since I bought over President's Day weekend - I was able to get the $1500 cash back AND the 3.9% financing. Good Luck to you!

Ricksee,

Don't even look at MSRP -- as with the car itself, it's meaningless. Go to one of these sites:

http://www.hondacuraworld.com/
http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/

Those will have prices well under MSRP. If you can install yourself, just order them. If you need the dealer to install, you'll pay steep labor, but at least make them match the price of the part.

That's a great deal. Was the Financing and rebate Combination available to all Honda Dealers or was that just something that particular dealer offering?

Just came back from the dealer, bought a 2007 EX-L with NAV

MSRP $36040

Paid $30,400 + TTL at 4.9% for 60 months

Went in to buy a regular EX-L for 28,400 but since they are honoring the special financing along with the dealer cash for the President's day sale, figured why not splurge on the NAV.

KBB trade in value on a similar 2006 model is only 1K less.

I did not really intend on buying a new car for awhile, but this deal is too good to pass up.

Chandler111 - congratulations on your new car purchase! I used your price as my target/ballpark and requested quotes from area dealers (feb 15) starting with ansjoe's list thanks ansjoe). Once I started the process, I wanted it to END because of all the calls and emails! In the end, we got 31,083 OTD for the EX-L and the 0.9 financing from Landmark Honda. I think we paid about 500 more than you did, but still happy that this is over and pleasantly surprised at how relatively painless it was do do transactions over email and phone. Plus, my daughter is so happy to finally have a car (she gets my husband's 6-yr old Santa Fe) and is at my beck and call these days! I know this too shall end but life's good for now
