I've been looking around for a Honda Pilot EX-L here in Dallas, TX. The dealerships are saying they no longer have the 2006 model so the best quote I've gotten so far is the following on a 2007. Is this a good deal? Honda Pilot EX-L (No NAV, No RES) $28,062 Invoice on the 2007 Pilot EX-L is $29,362 so it sounds good but wondering what others are getting. The thing is this is the first quote I got from this dealership (over email) so I'm wondering if I should counter-offer to see if they'll go lower. Thanks!

| Jimmy, which dealer is offering you 28061? The best I found was 28631. | |

Replying to: austex (Nov 25, 2006 7:31 am) That was an email quote. Now I call the guy and they don't have any Pilots on the lot without the the "Protection Package" (Wheel Locks, Splash Guards, Cargo Tray, etc) - he said that'll be a few hundred more dollars. Not sure if you care about that but just wanted to give you the heads up. I'm going there today to see what I can get without having to pay for all those extras that I don't want or need. The dealership is David McDavid Honda of Irving Is your 28,631 quote the final quote without the "extras"? If so, what dealership is that? |

| So I have visited several dealers, both in the city and burbs, and none of them seem willing to go below $34K out the door price (meaning including TTL). Is that waaaay too much or is it just me? Seems like everyone else is paying several thousand below that. Not sure if the Pilot's popularity is raising the price or what here but has anyone received better pricing in the area or anywhere for that matter on the exact model that I'm looking for? | |

Just leased an 07 Pilot EXL w RES, 36 months, 12000 miles per year, $350 per month, $2643 total down. Got it from Castle Honda in Morton Grove, no other dealer would even discuss this kind of price with me. 2 other dealers told me not to even come in...that my price demands were insane. Not sure why Castle was able to do it. Trade in was an 03 Corolla lease, payoff was $8100, KBB value said $9000-$10000. Did everything by email...the only dealer that would qoute me without coming in. I am not sure but I beleive there is a leasing special that ends December 4.
