I bought a 2007 Pilot EX-L in Nimbus Gray Metallic without navigation or rear entertainment. At the advice of this site, I did a lot of haggling via email with three or four local dealers and went to the dealer already knowing how much I was going to pay. I ended up paying 30,600 (including destination) plus the typical taxes, title and licensing. I had them throw in mud guard and wheel locks. I bought at Lehigh Valley Honda in Allentown (Emmaus), Pa. The person I dealt with via email was responsive and met my deadlines. They really lowballed me on the trade so I pulled it from the deal and am selling it on my own. Phillipsburg (NJ)-Easton Honda was bad about replying electronically, so even though they were 20 minutes closer, I took them out of the equation. I've already driven the Pilot on a three-hour trip to Syracuse and then into New York City. Other than my fear or being bumped in New York with the new car, the Pilot is great.

jeepvan (Oct 29, 2006 2:19 pm)said: > There is only one green, Aberdeen. It looks relatively dark and I think it comes with Olive interior.< Has anybody seen this color in person? I have deposit down for 2007 Pilot EX-L, but no color specififed yet because I can't find an Aberdeen green to look at, none on local lots. The dealer says it is identical to the 2006 Amazon green, just changed the name to update it. But another one says it is lighter and drabber olive (army) compared to darker and greener 2006 Amazon green. Everybody agrees that the brochure is not at all accurate. My other choice, Metallic Steel Blue, looks nicely slate colored in the brochure but baby blue in every online photo I can find and they don't have one of those in inventory either. Can anyone comment on the difference (or similarity) between the new Aberdeen green and the 2006 Amazon green color? And dealer says the olive interior is dark tan but "different from the Saddle tan" so that was no help either. I'm about to ditch the green that was my first choice if it's what I think it is. You'd think these dealers could be a litle more informed. Thanks, Nate

I bought the 07 EXL in the Baltimore area.. Out the door price was 31,565 including tax and tags. bought before the end of the month.. Not sure they made anything on this but those end of the month numbers are important. Several dealers met this price... the dealer that won out was the one that spent the most time and who threw in the mud flaps, wheel locks and cargo mat for free.

I am looking to purchase a 2007 Pilot EX-L with RES. I just started looking and doing some research the past few days. I received an internet quote for $31,446 today plus taxes, titles, and fees. Not sure what the fee are at this time. Can anyone tell me what a fair price would be? Thanks in advance. |

Replying to: joesacramento (Oct 27, 2006 1:50 pm) $27,456 included wheel locks, mud flaps, cross bars, and cargo mat. $45 doc fees $1,994 taxes $257 license and gov't fees $29,752 total out the door I am pretty happy about this deal. Great service, no surprises. But now that everyone has this information, I expect readers to do me one better. |

A national newspaper is looking to interview consumers who have recently (within the past three months) purchased an SUV and crossover because of its optional or standard third-row seating. Please send an e-mail to ctalati |

| Thanks for all the great advice as I have been lurking for months. Was ready to buy the 06 at invoice less $2500 and had some firm offers but when I went back they were gone. So, on to the 2007's. Most dealers were well above invoice but the local dealer agreed to an amazing deal for me. It is amazing because of what they gave for my trade. Carmax offered me $12k for my trade and the dealer offered $16k! THe offer was a month ago and they said auction prices went down, but they still honored the $16k AND gave me the Pilot at INVOICE! So, after the dealer agreed to waive the fees for the bogus pinstripe, leather and exterior protection package we added a $299 mud flaps, $79 visor, $299 proc fee and taxes I was at $17,500 OTD plus my 1999 Landcruiser with 97k miles that Carmax offered $12k for!!! To me it feels like I got the whole deal OTD for $29,500 OTD since my trade was really worth $12k. THanks all, and really glad I got the 07 instead of the 06! Now I can swap for the 08 next fall pretty easily. Oh, they also threw in first service for free and loaner cars for a year! | |
