I just got home from buying the 06 Pilot EX-L with Nav in Sage Brush
Pearl from Mel Rapton in Sacramento. The breakdown was...

Car $28,935 including rear mudguards, cross rails, cargo cover and
wheel locks all installed. (About $400 in options).
Doc and Tire fees= $53.00 (They gave me two free oil changes to make me
happy here).
7.75% tax =2,245.95
License & reg. $250
4.9% finance
Final Cost $31,484.70
Note: I was going to buy at Vacaville Honda until the Internet Manager
decided to try to jack me with 5.9% financing. I walked out and Mel Rapton got my business.
Needless to say Vacaville tried to call me back but it was too late.
Great people at Mel Rapton.

For those in SE MA and RI. Contact Mystic Honda in Lincoln RI for good price on Pilot. Do the internet quote thingy, don't walk into the showroom and talk to a sslesman... you won't get their internet price that way.

I was quoted maybe 300 over he absolute lowest price I've seen posted here recently... not bad maybe you could squeeze even that at the end of month if you need every penny on a deal.

2006 EX-L 2WD Price by mark824

Ok say I am getting a Pilot. I live in GA so 4WD is not really needed. So far best price I have recevied with Destination is 25,630 (this does not inculde T&T) on a 2006 EX-L 2WD.

The dealer is trying to charge $470 for Doc/Proccessing fee. I am not sure if they are capped in GA but i know some sates like CA cap them at 45 and NY at 20. So $470 is way high. Carmax only chrages $150.

So, you all think this is a good price?

Thanks

In Mass you get that same price with a doc fee of about $100 max. So I'd negotiate that $470 down to $100 maybe $150 since it's a good price on the car.

2006 LX 4WD - Price $24,940 by tmw017

Looking to buy 06 Pilot LX 4WD - $24,940 (ad price) and window sticker shows $28,745 (upstate NY). Spouse thinks 24K is good deal, and doesn't want to try and get more off. I say try for another $1K. What do you say...is 24,940 good deal, or offer less, or for some add-ons (instead)?

I had to follow-up to say the pipe dream of free gas was only good if you paid MSRP. Anyway, the dealer in all respects was easy to work with.

it might be a bit of a drive, but i just got a 4WD Pilot exl for 25900 (excluding destination, tt&l) at staten island honda. They also added the old dealer prep fee of $199, which i didn't dispute becuse the price was so good. for me, 50 minute ride was worth 2G. i started with a quote from the internet manager and they honored it when i walked in. the process was pretty smooth.

How far upstate NY are you located? The 24,940 price is the price I got for a 4wd EX which included everything except sales tax. Go to open road honda and get a quote from them and see if the dealer will match it. If not, it may be worth the drive and go to open road honda or staten island honda.
