They came in lowest out the gate (7 dealers responded) and I narrowed the negotiating to two dealerships after one day. Both were very easy to work with. The internet staff at Honda of Concord was great throughout. I would be happy to share my message string (as well as give a plug to my salesman!) to them and all of the other dealerships. I must say -- USE THIS FORUM! Use it to craft your quote request. Use it to negotiate. Get a summary email of both your final OTD price and interest rate. Finally, sit back and enjoy the process. Negotiating an interest rate (from 7.99 -- riiiiiiight -- to 5.94 to 5.69 at the dealership) over the phone while eating enchiladas (I'm not joking) is much more pleasant than doing it at the dealership! This is one of those "I feel good about the deal" situations. I know that there are others on this board that have done better, but I feel great about the price I paid for the car I have in my garage right now. I can't sleep!

Any ideas on how prices on the 2006 will change as it gets closer to the arrival of the 2007 models? I've decided to buy a Pilot, but am not in a great hurry. Any one had experience buying after new models arrive? What kind of savings are possible? Thanks for the in |

| I'm pretty sure I'll get a pilot within 6 months,,, sooner if I want,,, but I'm wondering what changes 07 will bring. I'm seeing some big changes were made for 06, so I'm not sure 07 will have major changes. It's be nice if they upped the power to the MDX levels as my 02 trailblazer is noticeably more peppy, but beyond that, the pilot is just about right for me. | |
Picked up my 4WD EXL with NAV Pilot about 2 hours ago. Here is the deal. Keenan Honda in Doylestown, PA. $28,800 plus destination and tax and reg. Easy deal. I had no trade so it was a straight purchase. Thanks to everyone who posted here. I was ready to buy at $30,200 and then someone posted a better price so I called up my salesman and he said he would match it. I was in and out of the dealership in 90 min.
