Since I live in the Norman/OK City area, I'd be interested in hearing what you paid for your 05. I'm looking to buy a EX-L, and when I shopped for my 03 Pilot (which I will be selling or trading in) in 2002, Fowler was not interested in giving a discount.

Definitely look back through recent posts. There have been a lot of people talking about Mike Pruitt Honda of Akron. It seems pretty positive. Decide for yourself. You could even try to narrow the search by using keyword Mike Pruitt Honda and see what you get?

do a search for hondacare on this discussion and you'll get plenty of hits. you don't need to buy it from a local dealer. we bought ours via phone and fax from a dealer ... I think it was Curry Honda in Georgia (i forget, it was either them or mark roberts in Oklahoma - i called several places and picked the lowest). good luck.

Hi everyone. I'd like to thank everyone on this board for all the info I've read over the last year while shopping for my Pilot. After haggling with all the local dealers, I decided to call up Mike Pruitt out in Ohio. The internet sales mananger quoted me a price on an '04 EXL-RES at $28,433..$1,200 under invoice!!! It was brand spank'n new with 7 miles on it, hadn't even been test driven. I put a deposit down on it via credit card right then and there, and went out this past weekend to pick it up. The entire staff at Mike Pruitt Honda was a pleasure to deal with. In and out within an hour driving my new Pilot home. The price they quoted was dead on with only a $100 doc fee and $26 for temporary tags added. When you make your deal over the phone, they'll email you an invoice complete with vin#, so there are no if, and, or but's on the deal you agreed to. Total out the door price from Mike was $28,559 for a brand new EXL-RES. I'll pay 3% tax when I register in Va, for a grand total out the door price of $29,416.
Even with my travel expenses, I saved over $2,000 from the best deal I could get around town (Richmond, VA). Everybody, if you have the time and want to save money, don't hesitate to go to Mike Pruitt. I know I won't buy a new Honda in the future without getting a quote from them. Good luck to everybody getting their new Pilots in '05 !!!

I have sent information about NJ invoice plus $300 Pilot dealer to everyone that inquire by sending an e-mail to pilotnj05hotmail.com. Some people that I send info also successfully bought at that price from the dealer.

At this price I am not hoping for cream from the dealer. I got that price after days of negotiation with the dealer and knowledge from this forum. I would like to pass the discount to informed buyers and Edmund users, in the market for a Pilot. Comparable internet quotes when I was shopping around in NJ were up to $2000 more than what I paid. Thanks to this forum.

I don't want this dealer to stop passing discount due to peer pressure of the other NJ dealers (compition). This is the only reason why I am not posting the name of the dealer here.

In this global economy we deserve all the breaks that we can get. I will be happy to pass the same info to any serious buyer that request it via e-mail to pilotnj05hotmail.com
