Thank you for this post !! By showing this post, I was able to save the destination charges - $810.00. I wish I got the 1.9% financing like you did, but couldn't. I bet you saved money for more people than just me.
Here are all the fees I paid:
State Sales Tax: $2543.94
Tire Tax: $7.50
Registration / Title Fees: $446.50
Documentary Fee: $398.00 - Do we need to pay this??
Security Guard: $299.00
Dealer Prep: $95.00.
According to the dealer, Documentary fee, Security Guard and Dealer prep fee are standard. Is that true? That amounts to another $800.00

#15248 of 15564 Is this a good price for Pilot 2012 EX-L in South California
Aug 07, 2012 (8:45 am)
I get following rough quote in email from a dealer (its in south california) through email negotiations -
MSRP $35,550 2012 Pilot EX-L
Dealer Invoice $32,890.58
Dealer cash $750
$31,446.18 Our net cost for the Pilot
$30,819 sale price
$419 Pro pack (wheel locks, all season mats, rear cargo tray)
$80 Doc fee
$2427.14 State sales tax based on my city's tax rate
$333 DMV fees
$8.75 State tire fee
=$34,086.89 Out the door
Is it a good price or should I wait for couple of weeks when 2013 model is out and 2012 will have better discount?
Also, what do experts feel about coming labour day weekend will have better or not on Pilot 2012?
Last question, invoice include $419 Pro pack (wheel locks, all season mats, rear cargo tray), isn't these are always included in the price or should I negotiate on this?
Thanks in advance !

Just picked one up for $28700 plus $300 for the tint in Houston. They had close to 2K in dealer adds but they were all stuff that had yet to be installed so I didn't even have to try to get them dropped. The deal was almost too easy. Makes me wonder how much lower I could have gone.

Who did you work with at Maita?
I'm being told that price is not an option for the EX-L 4WD Pilot in the Sacramento Area.
