seems you did well, on overall, comparing the discounts i got. I ended up at 32000.00 OTD, where as i started off with 28000.00 for the suv. Add KARR for 695, and an interest rate of 6.7% (in this age and day of low interests), eventually it ended up at 32K, thanks to 9.75% sales tax of alameda county.
Guess, what, I came home and applied for online loan with BOFA, it gave me 4.29%. I am sure, when I sit with a manager face to face, i can bring it down to 4%, and kill off the payment to American Honda Fin. within the next few days. The reason I had to settle for 6.7% was there was only ONE cherry color left in NORTHERN california and another 4 pieces of 4WDEX in the entire california, because of the incoming of 2011 models.

Yes includes destination charges. In N. Ca.
Is your quote with or without (w/o) with RES, as you are saying w/o !
Go thru the internet dept for best prices.
Anyways I thought it was a good price to get almost 4K off the MSRP.

kd2000 - My quote was without RES
So the price which was offered from there Internet Dept was 32195 + Destination for 2011 EXL but for 2011 Pilot I will have to go thru honda financing or external agency.
One of them said, they can offer me 1.9% rate but that they would need to add 1500 to the car price in order for them to buy the points down, which is still a better deal long-term then getting 4.9 or similar.
So in that scenerio it would be 33695 + 710 + ~2400 TTL(7% NJ) + Dealer Document and Registration fees.

I did not get the deal because of the finance. I mentioned that before also. SO I can't comment on pulling.

I found this thread very useful in price research so I thought I'd sign up and contribute.
Tomorrow I will be purchasing a 2010 Pilot 4WD EX-L w/ RES from a Massachusetts dealer for $32,290 + TTL.
I feel pretty good about the price. Emailed around a lot and the lowest I got was $31,900 but this dealer I'm working with was an hour closer.
I wish the financing was better, but I got 3.29% for 5 years which isn't too bad. I was hoping to get the 0.9% for 3 years but even after mentioning I knew this would add $1500 to the price they didn't bring it up.

I've been pricing 2011 Tourings. I've gotten 2 dealers to $36,958 (one was matching a deal but originally quoted me $38,722) and another dealer is at $36,707.

I am really interested in the Pilot. Upon searching prices, I found that there is a dealer outside of Boston that rents Hondas and Toyotas (and others) out for short term rentals, say from a day to a month. I thought that would be a great idea. I could rent a Pilot for a weekend with unlimited mileage, and drive it for a long period of time to see if the seats are comfortable and if this vehicle would really be for me. I wish other dealers would do this
I am wondering if anyone in the New England area has ever done this. I am a little skeptical due to the fact that I honestly have never seen a Honda dealer rent cars out like a commercial car renal business.
#14193 of 15564 Philadelphia area 2011 Honda Pilot Touring prices
Apr 24, 2010 (3:45 pm)
I've been pricing 2011 Pilot Tourings and the lowest price I can get a dealer to commit to is $38,400. Apparently they are in short supply here. I got a price through USAA's car buying service of $37,186. Has anyone beat that in the greater Philadelphia area?

Yes, that's the same car buying service USAA uses.
