what do you guys think? Ex-L 4WD no RES. 30,500 including dest. charge. This is the initial price from 2 seperate dealers. Trying to decide what to come back at...$29.7 OTD + TTL or are the going to laugh at me? I guess it doesn't hurt to try...

Replying to: chicagojoe (Feb 17, 2009 8:15 pm) Make sure you tell them you saw this 'Dealer Cash' was available on Edmunds. One place I was working with acted as if they had no idea it was available, then they tried to retain some of it.   Guess they thought I fell off the turnip truck yesterday.

Here is the breakdown for the deal I just made...   $30,344 (included destination and delivery fee of $670) + $2,124 + $354 Motor Vehicle Fees + $7.50 Tire Tax  $249 Dealer Doc Fee = $33,078.50 out the door.   We shopped 4 dealerships in New Jersey and this was the best deal we could find. I just purchased the noted Pilot for $32,658 plus $295 doc fee, or $32,953 total (freight included), before tax, title and license. Car was on dealer's lot. Replying to: ed111 (Feb 20, 2009 5:57 am) I had started to look at the 2009 Mazda CX9 and 2009Toyota Highlander recently, but noticed today that all the local Honda dealers had newspaper ads with these prices for 2009 Pilot EXL(includes transportation but not registration fees or tax): Dealer 1 $29,997 Dealer 2 $30,995, Dealer 3 $30,690. I know Dealer 1 is reliable--bought my wife's Accord there. I live on Long Island(New York).

In 2005 I purchased a new Pilot LX. I traded in my Rav4 and paid $303 per month for four years (ending in April 2008); I have a balloon of $15000 left (which I sort of forgot about, and yes, I am an idiot). When I was at the Honda place in 2005 I found a car I liked, brought in my Rav and decided to go for it. They took the Rav away and I spent 6 hours sitting (and very hungry) with no car, from 3PM to 9PM before I saw the finance guy. By that time, would have confessed to murder just to get out of there.   The car, of course, has been wonderful.   So, a few weeks ago I got a call from Honda asking me if I have decided what to do about the final $15000 payment.   So, I'm not sure what my options now are. I would not mind trading in the car for a new one, a used one, a used CRV; even a Fit. Doesn't really matter much to me.
