Here is the deal I closed in the Cleveland area on a 2009 AWD Pilot Touring without RES for a 36 month lease and 15k miles per year.

MSRP $39065
Cap cost $33122
Acquisition fee $595
Gross cap cost $33717
Residual $18355.05
Money factor .0011
Total of $748 out of pocket which included first payment and fees.

Monthly payment including tax (7.75%) is $523.

I think I got a good deal.

We got quoted $30,000.00 plus taxes, tag, and titling fees- brings to total $32407.

Is this a good price?

We have a possible trade in but was told don't expect much (4Runner '03 with 108,500 miles) They said to look at Kelly Blue Book. For good shape around $6,000.00 trade-in. We looked at Edmunds it is $9000.00 trade-in.

Thoughts anyone?

first time you post 29170 as OTD. I thought it is very good deal. but Now you told me it is just price for car. Then plus tax and fee. So totally you pay 29170*(1+8.625%)+Fee, that is a lot. Now I only condise 28000 for EX AWD is good price. Anyone get email or call from commonwealth Honda. they claim they will have big rebate on pilot. I wonder how is that.

Well, you are absolutely right regarding the fact that the 08 EXL would bring more features (leather, sunroof and RES) for 2.5k less, I tough about it.... but down the road in let's say 3 or 5 years if I decided to sell the car ...I believe that the new generation EX would perform better on resale value than the previous version.... just my opinion

So far I have put 300 miles on the pilot and can't complain with the way it drives

We have compared the car on the road back to back with the previous generation and I don't regret the decision.

To mitigate the lack of RES I installed a 11" jensen overhead DVD with 2 wireless headphones) ... got it from circuit city ... they have a especial $599 with free installation.

The kids are happy.. the wife is happy..therefore I'm happy

sunnyfl1- well said (kids are happy, wife is happy therefore...) I was looking for an alternative solution to the RES, thanks for solving my problem and saving me some $$

I'm still considering a few proposals for leasing the 09 EX-L and the dealers are pushing to get it closed by 1/5 which is fine by me. I'm just curious what will change after the 5th.

I'll post my proposals tomorrow.

I suggest you get your hands on a copy of GALVES. This is the pricing book that most dealers use, and most consumers do not know about.

If there's no "dealer fee" added to the 30K then it's a better price than the quotes I've received in Tampa.

I'm waiting for the January incentives to come out. Sounds like they are low balling the trade in, but look at blue book, not Edmunds.

Would you mind telling us if your Bali Blue Touring was 4WD?
The salesman I am dealing with will not come close to that price with
4wd so if you did buy it with 4WD you really got a sweet deal.

Also the Honda salesmanager told me that new marketing programs will
be released this Wednesday 1/7/09 so we'll see what Honda will offer if anything.

Does anyone know if the money factor for leasing will continue through the end of January .011 (36 month)?

Anyone hear of any more incentives after today 1/5? or do think today will be as good as it gets.
