I know this is late in the game, but we are buying an EXL AWD with Res in the next few days, since our other car had a chance encounter with another vehicle. Is 33k good for the exl awd with res? Thanks, Anthony |

Even got in at a time where Honda had the 2000 rebate. Ended up with EX-L for an incredible offer with payments of 418 a month. Both of these deals was with a trade in. Goodson also gave me a much better trade in value on my car I had hoped for from an individual purchase type price. So, do your homework on not just the car, but where you buy it from... Congrads on your new Pilot! |

Ok I feel compelled to share my experience since reading this forum helped me to make my decision. Initially I was looking for an 08 EXL (sunroof / Leather and RES) and got the lowest price $25,421 + tax + tag and NO dealer fee on a Silver EXL Went in today(Pompano Honda) The price for the 08 EXL was almost the same price as the 09 LX, but I decided to push it to the 09 EX......the main differences are the Wheels (ugly on the LX) plus the roof rack, the rear climate control, the interior is way bigger on the 09. So here is my final deal: 2009 EX 2wd (Formal Black with gray interior) MSRP $31,165 Vehicle includ accessories, delivery installation charges $28,030 Tax + registration fees in NY (I'm from NY working on a project in FL) $2,681 Documentation stamp fee $112 Dealer fee was Waived Total out of the door $ 30,823 I also got the Honda financing 3.9 for 60 Mos (monthly payment is $554) I hope this info would be of value for somebody Happy New Year

After lurking here for a long time, I finally pulled the trigger and thought I'd share my experience. Had a very good experience with Honda World in Westminster, CA. Martha in internet sales was great to work with and very aggressive on price. I did a lot of research and shopping and she was extremely professional - no game playing, etc. Here are the details on my 36 month lease: MSRP: $39,065 (includes $670 destination) Cap Cost: $33,822 + 595 acquisition fee (note: this includes a credit of $1,250 for lease cash available to dealers. Had I not leased, the car would have been $35,072) Residual: 43% or $16,797.95 (15,000 miles per year) Drive Offs: $980 (first month payment plus CA DMV fees and $45 doc fee) Money Factor: .0011 (no mark up on national rate) Monthly Payment: $545.76 plus tax Love the car so far. The price was very competitive and they were very good with my trade in as well. In and out of the dealership in 2 hours. Also, I bought an extended warranty to cover the excess mileage. The dealership matched the internet price I brought in, so I was happy with that as well.

Replying to: pilotsahm (Dec 27, 2008 5:33 am) they lowballed the wholesale price on my trade in . a 2002 good condition oddy. low miles. i looked at him and said " i will walk out this door and email every dealer in the tri state area. for their best price. i know for a fact that you all have a ton of inventory and cant move the pilots. " he dissapeared and reappeared with the mgr. who then went up 1200 on my trade in.. AMAZING! they arent charging us for any prep fees. bit dissapointed by the runaround by route 23 honda. and i told them that. point blank. just as my 2 year old screamed... "i wann drive a honda" "i wann drive a honda" |

I wanted to share my information. I went to Russell Smith Honda. Great place and great sales person named Peter. 2009 EX-L w RES (Sterling Gray and Black leather interior) Selling price: 32143 Free Tint Mainly negotiated my 2006 Nissan Altima SE trade to a price as much as KBB. Most dealers were quoting $2000 less than KBB. After negotiating, I told them I wanted to lease than buy. 36 month lease with 12000 miles per year. Excess mile at 0.15 cents per mile. Residual was 47% Money Factor: 0.00110 (Super Preferred Tier) Free Oil Change for 3 years Free Windshield Insurance for three years Additional discount of $280 was thrown in at last minute. Zero down and no security deposit. $560 for 36 months. $20074 total payments for 36 months. $16856 option to buy. Any comments welcome. I cant change the deal but maybe it can be of help to others.

Replying to: bigdadi118 (Dec 30, 2008 3:46 pm) My payments are 557.62 per month for 36 months. The difference is $79.1 per month more than your calculation. It amounts to $2847.6 for 36 months. But I had $996.00 negative equity from trade in and $2008.93 as tax (6.25%) included in the monthly payments. That leaves with a discount of $157.
