I think Honda will eventually provide dealer incentives later this year when sales are really low, which will give some more room to go lower. I am also thinking about a 4WD Touring with RES. Let's keep each other posted if we find lower quotes.... |

Bought FWD Touring with Navi early Oct from a dealer in Houston- paid $33,640 including Destination fee. Thought I would share this for those who are shopping for Pilot.

hey i brought my 09 Honda Pilot Touring 4WD in July and had enough time to play with most of the nav features and bluetooth stuff. Now after i found i could send my phone's contacts(Verizon LG Chocolate VX855V03) into the nav and a whole new bunch of options arise. So after i also found you can send your calendar dates through, i did just that. Then my phone was damaged, i exchanged for another, then only the calendar dates didn't go through, I thought it would be my phone so i had my gf who just got her brand new phone try to send dates but all that kept coming up was "Check Receiving Device of Bluetooth" or something close to that, so i know that it wasn't just my phone. Went to the dealer to see if they could sort it out, and explained what i did so they dont put the blame on the phone, the guy said that the car really doesn't/isn't suppose to receive dates (even though i showed him 2 dates i had sent to the car). Now i understand the car is new and will have bugs to work out but i was hoping to get it fixed or at least have decency to say "idk". Anybody have that problem, something similar, or has tried that option?

For everyone's information: On 10/7/08 we purchased a 2009 Pilot 4WD with RES for $33K including destination fee. They gave us 0% financing for 4 years on $15K. I put down the remainder of the purchase price. This was in Palo Alto California at Anderson Honda... They also would have gone down to $32.4K purchase price with but would only finance at 2.9%. |

I purchased a 2009 Honda Pilot LX for $24,500 with taxes and other fees came to $26,912 towards late October. This was the base model at a MSRP of $28,295. I got 0.9% financing for 36 mths and will pay $290 in interest over 3 years. Purchase Location: San Bernadino, CA. I added the DVD and navigation system from another auto installer. Did not feel it was worth it to pay the extra premium when I there was a potential to save further. Two of the larger dealers out here, Penske & Autonation, were quoting almost $2,000 over that price, and one dealer went with the line "if something is cheap...". The dealers still call me after I have informed them that I have already purchased a vehicle. I did my research on the internet, and the winning dealership quoted me the price on the phone. Some dealers will not match unless you have a written quote. Hope this helps out other buyers.. My advice is "Buy at the end of the month". A lot of dealers are laying off their salespeople and sadly, that is an opportunity for the buyer. Caveat Emptor |
