Maybe I just was lucky, but that is exactly what I did. I asked for the sales manager and told him I wanted a Pilot and would pay 300 over invoice, noting that he already had holdback. I told him dealers in central OH were selling for 500 over invoice, but the extra 200 would sway me to his dealership. He called back 10 minutes later and we had a deal. I am in Bowie every few weeks, and the drive from this dealer to Bowie is about 6 hours. I did EVERYTHING via fax and used my credit card for a 500 good faith refundable deposit. 27100 for an EX cloth. I did not finance so that should have hurt his profit margin. I just got a quote from a dealer from cleveland for $850 over invoice, but he said shipping is around $1000. I saw somewhere that shipping fee is only $350. Can I get more info on that? Where did you buy your Pilot with that kind of shipping rate? I live in Portland Oregon. Thanks

Bought three weeks ago. EXL-DVD. Spent hours negotiating but could not get under MSRP.   FWIW, I did get close to what I wanted for my high mileage trade.   Really wanted $500-$1000 off MSRP. Maybe if I walked, but wife wanted it ;(

We haven't made any moves on our Pilot deal since I last posted because we've been busy in the evenings and we're out of town this weekend.   Did you mention the name of any dealer in central in Ohio you'd spoken with to the dealer in KY?   Thanks.   Oh, BTW. Our friendly neighborhood salesman from Bowie Honda called my wife today. They always call back.
