I was surprised that the $2000 incentive was dropped. But I did notice that Pilot sales were up in August 2008 over the same month in 2007. But still in today's auto market, it does not make sense for Honda to drop the incentive. I am betting that sales will fall back off without the incentive and it will return in October. Also noticed that Odyssey sales were way, way down and they increased the incentive on the 2008's to $3500. Kind of strange that the Pilot sales were up and the Odyssey went down.
I think people are starting to realize what a nice job Honda appears to have done with the 2009 Pilot. I am anxious to get one, but will not do without the incentive.

I agree. I'm waiting until there is another incentive for at least $2,000. I didn't hear about the last one until it was too late. Was it advertised anywhere? I only learned about it from this site.

Odyssey is way down & pilot is up ... that reflects my switch from Odyssey to Pilot 5 months ago.
Odyssey has its problems: wind noise, soft brake, droning noise, FWD only. I need 4WD due to NE winter.

I sent emails to several dealers in the Boston/Worcester area for prices on this vehicle. Can you please list what you have paid for the same vehicle? I will let you know what I receive. Im looking at a straight EX-L no RES. and hope to purchase in the next couple of days.

In Tyson's Corner, VA I paid about 3 weeks ago $34,000 out the door for an 09 Pilot EXL with the following accessories:
Door edge guards
premium side rails
roof rack rails
That price included tax, tags, delivery charge etc. My final price was an even $34,000. I worked with a guy named Ivan. Also, I got the same price in Germantown, MD. I negotiated everything online and bought in Tyson's because it was closer to me. The only thing I would have done different was negotiated the wiring harness into the price since it does not come with the stock trailer hitch. The wiring harness is additional. List price is ~180. I thought about it afterwards and you pay full price plus labor at that point. Oh well.

That same pricing does not apply today because Honda to dealer incentives changed
Congrats on your purchase though - sounds like you made an awesome deal!

Has anyone purchased a Touring with NAV and RES since Sept. 2nd? Have you been able to negotiate any great deals even though the $2000 incentive is officially off? If so, please give details. I am especially looking for pricing in the midwest.

Since you are a Honda Dealer are there any new incentives that you would like to share?

I am looking to purchase a 09 pilot EX-L with no res. I live in MA and am getting quotes ranging around $31000.00 to $32,000.00 mark. These prices include destination charge, doc fee, plates, title, registration. They do not include sales tax which is 5% in MA. Does this seem about right or is there more room to negotiate? Im not adding any other options/accessories.
Thanks, I hope to purchase this weekend.
