About to buy 09 pilot in Indy by gaberaham

I am going to purchase an 09 pilot 4wd ex-l with res tomorrow. I emailed several dealers here in town and all were accomodating. I am going to go with Penske Honda (where we bought the wife's odyssey last year) and am expecting to pay about $600 BELOW invoice of $33,309 (edmunds) before taxes and fees. Indy Honda has been pretty aggresive in trying to lure my business, but Penske is closer to my home and I really liked the salesman I used when we bought the Odyssey. At least here in Indy, it seems dealers are eager to move a few off the lots and onto the streets.

I'm looking for advice on how to get "the best price" on a Sterling Grey 2009 AWD Touring Pilot with DVD in the Washington, DC area. I don't need financing. I don't have time pressure--the car we are replacing is doing just fine, we are just interested in buying in the next few months (but could wait even longer if that really would help us get a deal)...Any advice on best dealerships for negotiating, likely best time to buy in the next few months, how to go about figuring out what is "the best deal" when I'm not flexible on the car we will purchase, etc? Thanks in advance for your help!

Timing is on your side. Suggest monitor the Honda Pilot sale figure monthly, if it didn't go up then Honda & delaers will lower their offers, be aggresive in order to move the Pilots.

Is it a good deal if the dealer offer 4800 off MSRP?

'08 Pilot Purchase experience in NC by lillygirl11

Hello,
I am interested in any info on recent purchase experiences in NC, specifically the RTP, NC area (Durham, Raleigh) or the Triad, NC area (Winston Salem, Greensboro, Burlington). "Any purchase tips" are much appreciated!

I am looking for a 2008 EXL FWD or 4WD, no NAV or RES. Best price so far is $28k TTT. Seems like the dealers in this area aren't willing to budge on price....or is this a good deal?

Carsdirect.com told me today quote "Unfortunately, none of my dealers have any 08 Pilot EXL 2wd in stock. Honda stopped production on those vehicles in January so, the inventory has depleted."

Thanks!
