| Anyone have recent experience in Twin Cities area? Looking to pick up 2008 Pilot EX-L with Nav and have seen decent prices paid in many areas of the country. | |

Thought this might help those in the market... I just bought a 2009 (financed) Pilot, Touring trim with 4WD and Navi (no DVD). The price quoted to me was $34,755 (before taxes and fees). However, I was looking for a white one, and they did not have the trim I wanted in stock and would need to look for one. Sales person came back and told me if I took one they had on the lot, they would give it to me for $34,000. I decided on a black one, so saved another $750. After your usual fees, destination, DMV, taxes (7% in NJ) and a $700 fee they charged for "Etch" which I believe if a coating they put on the whole car (paint, glass, leather, blah blah, but we did manage to talk them down on that to $300 instead of $700), out the door price was about $38,500. We agreed to the Etch fee because it gave us a discount on our insurance rates. Which I think was a pretty good price. According to Edmunds, invoice on this trim was about $34,500 so I was satisfied. The dealership was Route22 Honda in Hillside, NJ. My wife leased her Accord there a couple of years ago and had no problems, searvice was great, and sales people were much friendly than other dealers. Hope this helps someone-- |

| Test drove the Pilot again today. I have a 2004 EXL-RES Pilot and have loved it from the beginning! The 2009 is vastly improved and drives great. Prices from dealers in VA, TN and NC are mostly about $500 over invoice (Invoice is $32,533). The prices are way down from just one month ago. Some dealers are still offering close to MSRP, but most are offering pretty good discounts. It pays to do your homework before going to the dealership. Best of luck! | |
