...and chrome side steps. Websites out there shows it for MSRP $39,728... + tax + yada, yada... ...well, got it for $36,085.00 + (Tax $2,081, based on $2000 trade-in) + $600 for the dealer + 160 tag transfer + $8.50 misc. = 38,934 OTD. - $2,000.00 trade-in = 36,934 to finance. Based on information out there, I believe I paid $600 above invoice for this baby. I just couldn't wait longer since my trade-in had almost 160,000 miles and dated back to the last year from our last century. I live in South Florida and the honda dealer (maroone) is right between 836 (Palmetto) and 54 Ave. (Red Road). Try the internet manager... The 2009 Pilot may very well be $3,500 below invoice by this time next year (dealer incentive -- 2010 out in the market) or perhaps even sooner due to gas prices, but I feel Ok with the outcome of my deal. I hope this help others that are looking for a 09 Pilot... Suggestion: I always work my deals with an out-the-door price figure and remember to include an option or two on that price!... try to be reasonable and don't give up, you'll always find someone who wants to work with you... |

I just worked a local dealer for an 08 Pilot EX-L 2WD w/ RES down to 20k + my 94 Audi 100S wagon (156k miles and is burning oil and the trany sometimes acts up so really its about to die any month now hence my purchase, the car is worth no more than 2k, if lucky). Do you think this is a good deal or should I work him lower ? I still have to pay for taxes. Please help as this is his last 08 EX-L. Thank you

When the 2009 was first introduced, my local dealer had 3 on the showroom floor. Now, a month later, there are 5 on the floor and 5 in the off-site storage lot (a couple miles from the dealership - I always check there to see how much inventory they actually have at hand). What this suggests to me is: Any pent-up demand for the 2009 Pilot has been satisfied. You should not pay MSRP. You should expect to pay $500-1,000 above invoice. Within 6 months, there will be incentives on this vehicle.
