2008 VP Purchase from Lisle, IL by prithis

Last Saturday I purchased a brand new 2008 4WD VP from Honda of Lisle, Illinois. The purchase price was $23,450 after some negotiation. I believe this is $3,445 below invoice for a VP. The car cost $25,481 OTD. I did not take their financing, and there was no trade-in.
 
I got multiple email quotes from several dealers in the Chicago area, negotiated with each one through email, and then walked into Honda of Lisle with all the printouts, and they beat the lowest one (their original quote was 24,120).
 
Not sure if anyone got a better deal than this on the VP in the Chicago area. Please post if you did.

Hey chicagok, I stopped by Carr's a few weeks back... They seemed nice enough but I was looking at 05 EX-L's and they presented a real turkey.
 
I will definitely get a quote from them... Would you be willing to let me know who you worked with?

Salesman was Mark. Sales manager was Erik. Both were great to work with.
 
You can let them know I was the guy who bought the gray one last night. My wife and I were there pretty late so they will probably remember us.

4WD SE Purchase by manco

I purchased a brand new 2008 4WD SE from Ralph Schomp Honda of Littleton , CO. The purchase price was $27030. I believe this is $3,510 below invoice for a SE. The car cost $28,200 OTD. I did not take their financing, and there was no trade-in. I beleive this is a pretty good deal. Dennis did i get a good one? They do not charge any dealer handling fee, just add taxes to the purchase price. It was no pressure selling, it was a good buying experience.

Invoice is $30,590 less $3,500 = $27,090 so you got it $60 under invoice. Since there was $0 dealer fee or add ons this is a nice price. There is $673 in hold back on this model so they "made" $613 on the deal. You might have could have squeezed them a little bit more for a little lower price, but it would not have been a lot of money and certainly not worth worrying over .
 
What color did you get?

Dennis It is a Silver color, They also gave me 3 oil change coupons and offered free car wash if I stop by.

The silver is nice (billet silver?). That and Aberdeen green were my wife's first two choices but they don't make the VP in green and the dealer we got ours from didn't have silver so we got mocha metallic (beige-brown).
 
3 oil changes are about $66 at out local Honda dealer on special, about $100 at another local dealer that never has a special so that is not bad.

Yes Billet Silver, Also they charged $5000 to my Amex credit card, I have 1.5% cash back and that is another 75 bucks. I insisted to give the all season mat, but they said sorry
