You will also need an aftermarket amp to power the sub.

Ok ok, kool i was wondering when it was going to come out, because no one had said anything yet.
So if its coming out on the 22nd then pricing should be announced very soon.

Hi Dennis

Do you know if that special financing is nation wide for the 2.9% for 60 months?

Thanks,

2008 Pilot Special AHFC A.P.R. Financing
0.9% APR for 24-36 months or 2.9% APR for 37-60 months
For well-qualified buyers.

Special AHFC A.P.R. financing available on all new 2008 Pilot models. 0.9% APR financing for 24-36 months or 2.9% APR financing for 37-60 months available to customers who qualify for the AHFC Super Preferred credit tier. Example for 2008 Pilot: 0.9% for 36 months financing at $28.16 a month for every $1,000.00 financed. Dealers set actual vehicle sales prices. See participating dealers for details. For well qualified buyers. Not all buyers may qualify. Higher rates apply for buyers with lower credit ratings.

Offer valid for 3/29/2008 through 6/2/2008, on new and unregistered 2008 Pilot Models and only on approved credit by Honda Financial Services through participating dealers. Honda Financial Services' standard credit criteria apply. Example for 2008 Pilot: 0.9% for 36 months financing at $28.16 a month for every $1,000.00 financed. See dealer for details. Dealers set actual prices. Limited time only.

It is listed as a national offer on the Honda current offers web page. Taking the cheap money costs the dealer $1,000 of their incentive on the Pilot, so the price will go up $1k.

There COULD be regional offers with cheap money that CAN be combined with the full dealer incentive - there have been in the past.

My credit union is doing 4.25% for car loans. So $27k at 4.25% is $500.30 per month for 60 months, $28k at 2.9% is $501.88. CapitalOne online is 5.29% and $513.12 per month on $27k. So you need to check with your bank or CU and see what the rate is and figure the model you want and your taxes to get the amount to borrow and see if taking the $1k and using your own financing nets out cheaper than paying $1k or and doing 2,9% from Honda.

EX Purchase by chicagok

Just wanted to share.

I bought a 2008 EX for $24,838 before tax, title and license (just under $27,500 out the door). I thought that was a pretty good deal, $4000 below invoice/destination. Truth is, I was originally looking at the VP, but with only $2500 dealer cash vs. $3500 on the other models, it was definitely worth stepping up to the EX.

BTW, I got it at Carr's Honda in Chicago. They were a pleasure to deal with and also gave me a great price on my trade-in.

Now let's hope I don't regret it when I actually see the 2009.

You will not regret your choice when you see the 2009 PRICES . All those "have to be the first on my block with the new model" folks will keep the price up for a little bit, I would think. Even after the new wears off it might be a while before you can get one of those for $4k under invoice.....

The wife and I each sprung for new '08s. We (particularly me) know there will be some buyer's remorse when the '09s come out later this month. We also know that the upgraded (supposedly) '09s will more than likely launch with no incentives, price out the door thousands higher than a comparable '08 version. Plus, I don't particularly care for the new styling of the '09s.
I felt the deals on the '08s were (and still are) extremely compelling, thus our purchases.

2008 VP Purchase from Lisle, IL by prithis

Last Saturday I purchased a brand new 2008 4WD VP from Honda of Lisle, Illinois. The purchase price was $23,450 after some negotiation. I believe this is $3,445 below invoice for a VP. The car cost $25,481 OTD. I did not take their financing, and there was no trade-in.

I got multiple email quotes from several dealers in the Chicago area, negotiated with each one through email, and then walked into Honda of Lisle with all the printouts, and they beat the lowest one (their original quote was 24,120).

Not sure if anyone got a better deal than this on the VP in the Chicago area. Please post if you did.

Hey chicagok, I stopped by Carr's a few weeks back... They seemed nice enough but I was looking at 05 EX-L's and they presented a real turkey.

I will definitely get a quote from them... Would you be willing to let me know who you worked with?
