Dennis, we are looking for the basic EX-L, no Nav. or RES. Just as you predicted, all of the Chicagoland quotes did not include dest. or doc. I requested that one provide dest. and doc and they completely ignored me -- I love these guys!

Hello Honda web site says 2009 Pilot on May 22 hitting showrooms. Anyone have any idea's when Edmunds would have prices and more info?

Was looking for an EX-L 4WD but supplies are getting tight in the NY/NJ area unless you want to overpay or like Brown or Red. Saw a few silver / gray models (we were looking for black/gray) that would have been fine but all had issues. One had 600 miles on it - which the dealer, of course, did not tell us before over email or a half-dozen phone calls. Two others had $3-4,000 worth of extras (aftermarket DVD, side steps, crossbars, etc.) that we did not want. So I ended up forgoing the leather and sunroof to get an EX 4WD in the color combo that we wanted. Ended up paying $24k even + dest + fees + tax (NY 8.375%, ugh) + DMV = $27.5 OTD. They got me a bit on the fees but I convinced them to let me charge double their max to my credit card so I'll get $50 cash back (thank you Amex). Overall, very happy with the car but would not recommend the dealer, despite their aggressive pricing. Since I saved about $2k vs. an EX-L I'm going to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket pioneer double-din touchscreen unit with DVD, bluetooth, ipod integration, backup camera and overhead LCD (for the kids) that should run me $1,300 installed. Can't complain - new Pilot with better tech than a 2009 touring edition at a savings of ~$10,000. Thanks to everyone on the board for sharing their prices and experiences. Happy hunting in Pilot-ville! |

| Thanks for the fee info prithis. carsly, sounds like you are creating a sweet setup. So far my EX-L search is also turning up a lot of reds, but also a lot of greys which is good as that's my wife's favorite. | |
