I posted my price a 4 weeks ago, but thought i would repost so rpinnj could check the price at my dealer also. I bought an EX cloth for 27100. That was 300 over invoice. I asked for the salesmanager the first time I called. I made the deal and then a salesman took over. I did everything on the phone. Sim Fryson Honda even arranged to do new car takeoffs for Michelin Cross Terrains (60 ea. upcharge over the Duelers). NOW- They did say they probably would not do another deal that cheap, but you might get lucky??? They are in Ashland Ky which is across the river from Huntington WV- south western WV.
Also- someone posted a great deal on GUNNAUTO.com. It was dealer cost LESS holdback. NO profit. I check the website and that was the posted price for a few weeks. Their prices have come WAY up since then. They are now 500+- under MSRP. Did anyone buy from them. They seem to have really perceived they could raise their prices over the last few weeks.

Try following brian125's advice. I first e-mailed them from their own website and got an initial offer of 2K below MSRP. One local dealer in Fairfax I contacted thru autobytel quoted me 2160 below MSRP which I forwarded them and they beat it to 2200 below . The main difference between the local Fairfax dealer and Bianchi Erie was the later had the vehicle with the color of my choice on hand and did not have excessive "processing fees". I had to rent a vehicle , drive seven hours and stay in Erie overnight at my own cost. 2K savings for an overnight trip is not bad. I would strongly urge serious buyers who are having trouble getting local dealers to negotiate to go out of state. I recently received the Certificate Of Origin and got the vehicle formally registered at Sterling DMV in Virginia after paying 3% use tax. The process of buying out-of-state for Virginia residents seems to be fairly smooth. Good luck with your purchase.

Interesting about Sim Fryson. I had a deal worked out with them....ready to pay....and in the end they wouldn't give me the price we had agreed upon. I bought from a dealer in Ohio instead. I'm glad it worked out for someone there. The person I was working with was very friendly, but in the end said it was the sales manager who refused the sale at that price....and it was higher than what you paid.

The out of state purchase was hassle free. When I got my certificate of origin, I just went to my local DMV, paid my state's tax, and got a title in my state.

Haven't had anyone seem anxious to get serious about negotiating below MSRP.

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Andy and Brian, After I posted my inquiry this afternoon the salesman called me back and said that if I made a reasonable offer and was prepared to lay down a deposit then he would take the offer to his manager. I honestly did not expect to get a call back so soon. For a EXL-NAV I assume 1000 over invoice would be reasonable. Anyone comments / guidance? Andy, who was your salesman?
