I have a 2006 Pilot with navi and it is touch screen and it calls out the street names, so unless Honda has made a major change to its Navi on the '08 Pilot (I doubt that) the Navi should be touch screen. The default for the Navi is not set to call out the street names, you should go to the menu and set the description to "max" to get it mention actual street names.

On a related note, Honda may not include the touch screen to the 2009 model Navi as is the case with my 08 Accord, but it still calls out the street names and it is great.

I believe you should be right. I tried out the Navi System for about 15min. The dealer told me it didn't speech street name and we had to use sticker to move the cursor around to locate point of insterest. Of cause, you as a user is more knowledgable than the dealer. By the way, do you want to pay $2000 for the navi if you buy Honda again?

I have an EX-L w/Navi. I believe the navi has a gyroscope and so even if the navi cannot receive satellite signals (below bridges, tall trees, in tunnels etc), it will still track where you are. You can also use voice command and the thing I love best is the back up camera. Helps greatly with safety and avoid dent in the rear bumper. I do not beleive you can get these features in any portabel GPS unit. For me, it was money well spent. Of course, you need to decide for yourself what these features are worth for you.

I was looking for a 2wd 2008 pilot /navi, the goodson Honda in HOuston quoted me $28,150. The Honda at Katy beat that price for $27,500. Hope this help.

Special Fiancing on Pilots 2.9% and 3.9% by chicagobuyer

Has anyone else heard that the finance deals might be coming back? I know they were offered in certain states as of Feb, but had gone away. I hear they might be returning at 2.9% for 1-48 mos, and 3.9% for 60. Can anyone confirm?

1) Go to www.ebay.com
2) Buy crystal ball
3) Upon arrival, ask it what will happen in the future

Seriously, I don't know why folks keep asking these questions. Only Honda knows and they are not telling us - and why should they? If you will buy a Pilot today with the incentive money then why throw in discounted financing too? If they said "If we don't sell a lot of Pilots in March we will leave the incentives in place and add 2.9% 60 month financing in April" why would anyone buy now?

One thing to note, it years past when they had a nationwide cheap financing deal it was in lieu of all or part of the dealer incentive.

Actually, I can confirm this as true. I heard from a dealer in the St. Louis area today that the financing rates would run from March 14 - March 24th. 2.9% for 12-36 months, and 3.9% for 37-60 months. This includes the $3500 dealer incentive. Happy shopping!

It is probably a regional deal or did they say? That is good news for those that live where the cheap money will be available - but wasn't it 1.9% and 2.9% last month?

Hi Dennis,

Although I am also a cynic most of the time, in this particular case I think we might have an edge. Looks like Honda wants to move these babies out. I also confirmed with the dealer that the 2.9 and 3.9% deal will go into effect this weekend. They wanted me to pick up the car today, but I told them to hold it until I have the approval that I am getting the low rate. This is with the 3500.

So, for me, it will be 28,700 for an EX-L with Navi, all fees included, plus tax. hope this one turns out to be as good as my previous purchases - 97 Accord, 2000 Accord, and a 2004 Accord.

I will post the name and info on the dealer once the deal is final.
