Agree with Imacmil...FWD gets around fine in all but blizzard conditions. I drive from Indy to Chicago year round and the only problems I run into are drifts on certain sections of I-65. Remember, Chicago has very astutue politicians resulting in a fleet of 700 snowplows.

Sorry for the time to respond but I'm not checking this board very often any more since I'm out of the TSX market at least for a while. Talk about a case of frustrated new car lust. I had ordered an SSM, 6sp, non-navi back in January in anticipation of my company's stated desire to eliminate company cars and convert to allowances. My car delivered to the dealership the first week of April and my company never got the new plan out so I had to pass on delivery. Oh well, now I've got $30K to do something with. Any ideas?

How about a TSX? I hear they still make them....

Great deals on the outgoing '05 3-series also...

Too bad about the alowance...

Hmmm, $30K burning a hole in your pocket? Here's what I'd do if it was me:

1. Find a way to wait for the BMW 1 series.
2. Stripper G35 sedan or Mitsubishi Evo.
3. TSX.

Keep us posted, you're still part of the family, even if you betrayed us

Loose driver's seat by xplorx4

There is a TSB on the driver's seat track. I had this problem on my '04, and it was corrected by replacing the seat track and reindexing it. Provided the part is in stock, your dealer should be able to fix this under warranty in 1/2-day.

2005 Acura TSX with Navi @ 28k by aban

I am getting an offer of 28k (+TT&L) for a 2005 Acura TSX with Navi (5 sp AT) at Austin, TX. Do you think this is a fairly competitive price, or should I be able to get a better deal? Thanks a lot for your inputs

Thanks for posting this information, xplorx4.

Seven or eight months ago when I took my 2004 TSX in for service, I told the dealer the driver's seat was sliding. The response was: (1) "we checked it," (2) the "movement is normal," (3) "it's within within factory specificiations" and (4) "all TSX's do it."

Because I've NEVER had a driver's seat slide in any other car, I've wondered whether what I was told was dealer BS. So it's nice to know there is a TSB out there and that the problem CAN be fixed.

DVD Nav updates by jrynn

Has anyone bought an updated DVD for the Nav?

Does it improve the quality of the directions given as well as update the list of points of interest?

In some places I've driven (like South & Central Florida and North Georgia), the quality of the directions is quite good, but in others (like Washington, DC and its suburbs) the directions can be ... unhelpful. The Navi fails to even recognize major commuting roads like the roads through Rock Creek Park and the Clara Barton Parkway along the Potomac, let alone to provide routes that include them.

Also ... can anyone tell me whether a 2004 TSX (manufactured in December 2004) to come equipped with a DVD with the 20020930 database (when there was almost certainly a 20030930 version)?

I'll happily part with the $185 for the 20040930 disk if I know that it will not only tell me where all the Starbucks & McDonald's built since 2002 are located, but also provide better routes to them.

Thanks for your input.

Diesel TSX is likely for 2007 models.

My dealer told me of a style freshening, probably similar to what Acura did with the 2005 RSX, plus an increase in power. Maybe a Type-S? I hope so, on both accounts.
