#558 of 576 Honda Aztek?

The Edix has odd proportions and a strange back end that I don't think will go over very well here. Also, North American's won't like the 3-3 seating. Two up front is what most want.
I'd be much happier with the current Stream, although I see they've dropped the 2-3-2 configuration in favor of a 2-2-2 layout. The original worked better for me.

According to the Aug issue of C&D, the Edix is the Acura RDX. It claims a 200 hp 2.4 engine enhanced by Honda's integrated Motor Assist system. FWD standard with AWD optional. Fall '05.

Besides the upcoming Acura RDX that will be based off the Edix/FR-V platform, don't be surprised we will see a Honda-badged version for the US market with the name Honda Latitude as early as the 2006 model year. And it will be powered by the same 2.4-liter I-4 160 bhp (SAE) engine now found on the CR-V and four-cylinder Accords, and the transmission choice will be either five-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

Oh no. Please say we get the 2-2-2 seating and not the 3-3. At least as an option. And what other info do we have about the RDX?
#562 of 576 I am wondering what
Jul 09, 2004 (2:16 am)
Honda is thinking if the Edix will be our Latitude. It will probably sell..look at how many Aztek's you see..but not for me. Everyone is right about the 3-3 seating. The front center seat is odd and do not like. I'd like it better with no center front seat! I'd much prefer the Elysion, JDM Odyssey and yes the Acura RDX. Any of these or a WISH..Flexa. Anyone know?
#563 of 576 Acura RDX = modified Edix/FR-V

Actually, from what people have surmised from the Acura RD-X concept car shown a few years ago, the final Acura RDX that will come out as a 2006 model will probably be based on the Edix/FR-V, though it's very likely the front and rear end treatment will be shaped somewhat differently than the Edix/FR-V to make it more appealing to American buyers. It's possible that the final NA market Honda Latitude will have the Edix/FR-V front end, but will have a back end that will not look like something out of a Pontiac Aztek. After all, given Honda's recent history of building quite different cars from a common platform....
#564 of 576 Take a look at the August

Car and Driver. They have a picture of the Acura RD-X and it is based off the Honda CRV. Power will be Honda's 2.4 putting out 200hp. From what you can see from the picture it is really nice..not the 2002 Concept car that was shown.

I was against the 6 seater 3+3 layout at the start, but upon seeing it, it's growing on me a bit. Especially since we are a family of 3 and could utilize the 3 front seats, leaving a huge luggage space behind. Not sold on the looks yet though....as others have mentioned, kind of an Aztec-like car on top of a car look. Fix the styling and it just might work.

because this German website continues updating pictures of the Edix. Maybe the pictures are starting to grow on me because it really doesn't look that bad. If you see what I see it has LEFT HAND DRIVE! The first pictures were Right hand drive.
I remember when I first saw the present Honda Accord. UGLY!! Looks like it's grown on everyone because there sure are a lot on the road..
