I'm tired & frustrated. Any suggestions on what tire I should consider for replacement of the General Ameri-Junks on my 2004Colorado Crew Cab 4x4 Z71 package? Tire size is P265-75 R15. Replying to: norbert48 (Sep 07, 2006 3:36 pm) I have a 2005 5 speed regular cab. I too hated my 205/75/15 General junks. Truck "wobbled" every time you crossed a rail track or anyting like that. TRowing my camper was a nightmare even with 45 psi in them. I traded them for four Yokohama 215/70/15's and what a difference in handling. I am sure a 65 profile would be even better but the change in the circumference would start to effect the speedo too much for my liking. I am running standard 6" rims. RG

Any advice on buying a Colorado Crew Cab. It is a '05 4WD LS Z71. Mileage is 19600. Looks to be in excelent condition. I think I can get the truck for $19000 tax & title included. Options: Z71 Suspension      Ls      Air Conditioning      Power Steering      Power Windows      Power Door Locks      Tilt Wheel      Cruise Control      Am/Fm Stereo      Single Compact Disc      Dual Front Air Bags      Abs (4-Wheel)      Bed Liner      Towing Pkg      Alloy Wheels   Any input would be great. well try to get a little better deal. i love mine but is has a hesitation in it, cant seem to get it repaired by chevy. so i say great but first i say look around. if you realy like it drive it up a steep hill under a load and then see if you like it. Replying to: norbert48 (Sep 07, 2006 3:36 pm) Replace your Generals with a 31X10.50r 15. BFG All-Terrain is a good choice. The Goodyear one mentioned as well is also a good choice. You can do some research at tirerack.com by typing in the size. The 265/75 r15 is basically the same size as a 31x10.50 r15 so you wouldn't have to worry about speedo changes and such. The 31 is a flotation tire size and not a "P" series size. Meaning the 31 is geared more for offroad, but there are several tires out there that are also more "road" worthy. In the 265/75 15 there is not as much selection.

Well I now have two letters from GM, one from their "customer service" and now one from "the office of the president of GM Canada" that my problems with my Colorado are, so to speak "in my head" and therefore they will do nothing more for me. Quite an ironic joke to see the add for a "100,000 km warranty" next to this window as I write. Of course they can offer that. They don't honour it anyway. It could be a million ks for that matter.
