Paul, Thanks for the suggestions. I suspect it might be the antenna. The tires are the same as on all other 645's.
Since the car is under warranty I have put it in the dealer's hands

But I believe it is part of one of the packages (Nav or Premium Package). If you have BMW Assist, then Bluetooth is automatically included as well.-Paul

I'd test drive one. I've driven the Vette, MB SLK, Porsche Cayenne (not the Cayman
). I don't think you'll be disappointed. I haven't heard of many issues with the 6 as far as reliability, other than minor iDrive nits. The current 6 came out as a 2004, and is now on it's 3rd model year.
