The turbo is known as a gas hog, if you like to get on it. If you drive it with a light foot the mileage will be fair.

GT convertible stnd options by zbj
May 05, 2005 (4:20 am)
About a month ago I purchased PT Cruiser, GT convertible. List of standard equipment on the web includes “Universal garage Opener” for GT, however, my vehicle is missing that option. I contacted Chrysler, and so far I was told what I already new that my car does not have it. I am trying to work through my dealer to get it, however, I did not hear much yet.
Does anyone know if Garage Opener is a standard equipment on GT convertible?

The Chrysler site lists it as standard. Could it be it is in the drivers sun visor and you havent found it yet?

Just purchased a used 02 Limited Edition and have noticed the same. The dome ligts also pulsate and maybe the headlights as well. I checked across the battery with a DMM and the voltage does fluctuate several volts. Haven't found a TSB, but will check alt. ground mentioned in #398.

I checked both visors, dashboard, etc. Chrysler did not hace clear answer and said that option is not listed for my car, yet it is listed as standard for GT.
I was wondering if other owners of GT convertibel, have that option.

Stage 1 fuel economy by nuander
May 12, 2005 (4:36 pm)
Hello

I recently purchased an 04 GT, with 6200miles, that had the Stage 1 turbo upgrade, and I'm getting a combined 12 or 13 mpg with moderate driving.

I talked to the dealer who installed it. They said that the 04-05 version of the Stage 1 kit includes a new PCM (chip) but does not include fuel injectors. They said everything else was working fine. I don't believe it. I can almost see the gas gauge drop as I drive.

I've heard that these PCMs have a learning capacity that adapts to your driving. Would it help me if I could reset this in some way?

Can I get this chip reflashed with a better program?

Thanks

Moderate pulsation of lights (usually seen in headlamps) indicates that the alternator is charging the electrical system. Extreme pulsation may mean battery is unable to accept or keep a charge; faulty voltage regulator. WalMart Automotive can run an electrical system diagnostic test which will indicate any failures within the electrical system. A new battery...larger capacity battery ...or electrical component replacement may be necessary.

High performance engines which develop serious horsepower need high octane performance fuels to detonate in the cylinders. Period. Your choice of lower octanes may give you...lower mileage...engine knock...poorer acceleration...increased engine vibration.

Looking for a PT Cruiser Turbo Diesel... looking for turbo diesel and 5 speed manual trans...

Anyone have these/importing in US? Is it possible to get them serviced?

Also, what is Chrysler's policy re: bio-diesel used in their vehicles?

Thanks all.
