| Good to see a sense of humor. I did try - once - driving at the posted 65 mph speed limit for an extended freeway drive. Rather scary when the rest of the cars are going 10 to 20 mph faster. Mpg didn't improve much. | |

| In my new Limited/Platinum, I find the footrest for the driver's left foot to be too steep for comfort. Any thoughts on how to correct for this? | |

The dealer installed the factory rear bar on mine shortly after delivery at no cost because the window sticker on the early 03s showed the rear bar as standard. DC changed the window stickers a few months later. I have no idea what the cost is, but it is a simple 30 minute installation. There are 19 parts needed, including the rear bar. There are also aftermarket bars available. |

Is the EPA estimate still generated at an average of 55? I remember when we got our Escort Wagon, the National Speed limit was still 55 and on trips to the Shenandoah Valley we could figure on averaging 34-35mpg. When the Speed Limit was relaxed and Virginia raised theirs to 65, our mpg figures dropped to about 30mpg. What we could do on a single fill up before, meant that we had to stop for gas afterwards.

Sorry I hit the enter key instead of the tab key. I have 4,000 miles on my Turbo GT and get 18 to 19 miles to a gal. in town and 23 hwy. My real problem is my AC. It has been an ongoing problem for sometime now. The first time it went in they started throwing parts at it and had it for a week. I got it back and drove it for a week or so and it quite so back in it went again. That time they had it for two weeks and through more parts at it. I got it back and that time it worked for about two weeks. They have it back again and it will be three weeks in the shop tomorrow. This time they tell me a Chrysler rep. was out and sid it was a power train module that needed to be replaced. It took a week to get the part from the vendor which arrived last Friday and it was damaged so they have ordered a new module from the vendor. They keep giving me a Chrysler Pacifica to drive as a loner. The only plus is that the Pacifica gets better mileage then the turbo. |

The only problem we have had with our Turbo's A/C is that it doesn't cool well in town. Does fine once on the highway, but in stop and go it is marginal in a black PT.

| My old '84 Toyota Van would freeze up too. Only took about 20 to 30 minutes. I didn't have it fixed because I liked the 25 degree air coming out of the vents. I used the van for local driving and usually wasn't in it long enough for the freeze over. On hot days the super cold air was great. The rear A/C never froze over and as the years went by and some freon leaked out the system became normal and stopped freezing over. Took about 12 years for the freezing to stop. The last 6 years or so it never froze. | |
