What do I think? by crkeehn

I won't get rid of my normally aspirated Cruiser to buy it. It would be a great car for a new buyer and the new electric Blue is an awesome color

That the PT Turbo has made it! Chrysler needs this product. The Crusier's still a good seller, though it's sales have began to lag recently. And I've yet to see one with the "Woody" option [I've seen only one with the Flame option]. Hopefully, the PT Turbo, the PT Convertible and the recently announced Chrome option will rejuvenate the Crusier by MY 2004.

And, no, crkeehn, I don't think people who own a regular Crusier will trade it up for the Turbo, unless they're Hot Rod fan, etc. Here's an interesting fact: When Popular Mechanics surveyed Crusier owners about a year ago, over 50% said they wished it had more power.

More power by boaz47

is a nice thing. Most owners I know are trying to address that very thing. I pull a long mountain grade on the way home everyday and every little bit of power helps. However we can get a few more ponies on our own and not have to resort to a Turbo. A cold air intake and new exhaust help a bit. Not 60 horses worth I agree. What I have noticed since I bought my PT is I drive more like a cruiser than I did in my Saturn. I sure drive better than I did in my Prelude. I do like the wave that PT owners give each other, a lot more friendly than other small car drivers were when I had the Honda.

For your convenience, you'll now find a direct link to the PT Cruiser Owner's Club in the Helpful Links on the left side of the page.

So does anyone have a PT Cruiser Turbo on order? Anyone considering buying one? We'd love to hear from you. Thanks for your participation!

Today was the day by dfrith

that we sold our 2001 PT Cruiser. Our PT Turbo is scheduled to be built in a few days.

When we got the PT Cruiser in April of 2001 we never dreamed that it would be such a great machine. But it was! The seating position was just right. It was easy to get in and out of, it was roomy and comfortable and best of all, we looked forward to driving it. The quality far exceeded expectations.

We admit to pampering our 2001 PT Cruiser. It never really was dirty in the time we owned it. It enjoyed the best oil... the best fuel... When the day came to sell it the very first people who looked at it took it home with them.

I don't recall ever actually being emotionally attached to a car before but maybe this time I am . . . just a little.

Now on to the 2003 PT Cruiser GT. Sure we changed the color but other than that we hope it's just as great as our 2001 but with 65 more horsepower of zip, a somewhat tighter suspension, seats with a little more lateral support and I guess we'll be shining 17" wheels instead of 16".

Sure going to miss that '01 though. What a great machine.

Since it took almost a decade to make it. Anyone remember the original Plymouth Pronto from '97? OK, I know this may not be a decade, but I've heard rumord that it begun around 92-93.

BTW: Chrysler has offered a new 7/70 Warranty on it's cars. This time around, it's fully transferable.

Are the PT Turbo's for sale yet? I saw that pricing had just been announced by Chrysler to start at $22,290 for the new model. Did you actually order one or get on a waiting list?

apparent lack of interest by manavi

I am surprised at the apparent lack of interest in the new PT Turbo, judging by the lack of posts on this topic. I hope that means there will be good deals on them when they go up for sale this fall.

People are just to hypotized by their current "Cool Mobiles" to even think about the cool PT Turbo. What I want to know, is whether they plan to market this one through 2005.
