I have audi a6 2005 2.0 TDI and i have problem with my phone. When i press phone button it says phone not installed. I'm using latest DVD 2009, but it's same like i had 2005 DVD. The only change is in my GPS directory, i have more countries, but still my phone is not installed.
Can someone help me with this issue, is it problem with disc-software or with my car hardware.
Thx in advance.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about why my temp gauge on my A6 Quattro does not move at all? I could drive it all day and it won't move! Thanks!

Unusual noise? by allmet33

Hi all,

I've had the '04 A6 Quattro for about a week now and I've noticed a noise...a winding down noise after the car is shut off. Is this a normal noise to hear? I was able to pop the hood and find out where the sound originates from and it is coming from the cooling fan on the radiator. Is this sound normal or is it indicitive of the fan motor getting ready to call it quits on me?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Mike

Thanks! I also noticed that I have a little coolant leak. I'm not sure where it's coming from, but every week I have to add a little bit of coolant to my reserve bottle. Could that be a cause of the temp gauge not moving?

thanks

Don't think so.

I think you could test the gauge by grounding the sensor wire but make sure you aren't grounding a live wire. I don't know your system well enough to tell you to go around playing with wires. But the gauge can be tested easily by a shop.

If in fact your engine is running THAT cold that much, this is not good at all for your engine in the long run (will create engine sludge).

Another idea is to insert a mechanic's thermometer into the coolant directly and see what the temp REALLY is.

I'm not sure if my engine is running that cold, all I know is I'm getting heat. I haven't tried the a/c yet so I'm not sure about that. Also I noticed after I'm done driving for a while and i look under the hood, I notice that the coolant is boiling/bubbling a bit in the reserve bottle. Is that normal?

Thanks again!

What I meant to type was:

No, I do not think that is normal!
