Ok, I will grant that somehow, in your opinion, the FBF's have more steel in them and yet are lighter ???

Did I say they have more steel in them? Nope, I sure didn't. I said they are stronger pound for pound. meaning they achieve higher strength with less material due to the boxed structure. Wall thickness is similar, but the boxed profile requires no reinforcements. Why else is the Tundra so much heavier? Bigger egos?

BTW, I doubt AFM even amounts to 5%, maybe if you do mostly highway driving without a load.

If your numbers are accurate, and I don't think their is enough time on these trucks yet to say for sure one way or the other. Just think how much better the Tundra could be with a lighter boxed frame. Interesting perspective huh?

WHO THE HECK IS JREAGAN???????????

You're assuming that somebody here argued that Toyota's frame was better than Chevy's... nobody argued that. The Chevy guys have been arguing the opposite and trying somehow to make this relevant to the discussion. But they are unable to make any real benefit from it. For us supposed "Tundra" people that you -- pardon me "jreagan" -- insinuate we are, we just don't see it as an issue since riding, handling, towing, hauling are all better or at least comparable to the Chevy's and more imporantly even better than the Fords and Dodges that do have a FBF. So, it doesn't seem like a good argument for Chevy guys to make.
As far as more capable is concerned, just read the last ~2000 posts on this subject, it has been exhausted dozens of times. I'm sure kdhspyder and dr. fill would agree that we're pretty tired of doing all the spec hunting for you guys. Go to toyota.com and go take a test drive or at least look at the vehicles so you know what you up against.

I'm not paranoid about this at all... I don't care, but it is fun to have you back on the forum again. Your MO is too easy to spot...

Better accleration, better braking, higher towing capacity, 6 speed vs 4 speed auto. I am getting the feeling that GM fans are getting a bit paranoid. Let us face it. Full size pickup is all GM and FORD has left. They have pretty much conceded all the other markets to the Japanese. If they lose the full size truck market they are finished as an automobile company.
