I cant agree with you more. I am in Denver and I just got done test driving a MDX Tech. I am going to buy the car but I am going to wait a couple of months. They wanted to sell me one for $300.00 off of MSRP. They had the same line that it will be months before supply meets demand. I have a 2003 MDX and have waited 7 years for a new car. I can wait another 7 weeks and I bet the prices will be much lower. They have a Tech on the show room floor that they just sold for $51,000. It was loaded with front and rear garish, roof rack, tinted window, clear bra and a couple of other things. I cant believe someone actually paid that but if you want the car right now that is the going price at least in Denver.
What I dont understand is why there are parts of the country where people are paying just $750.00 over invoice and there is supply but in Denver there is no supply and cars are going for MSRP.

I'm getting the same types of quotes in the northwest. I'm in the Seattle area and in the market for a 2010 MDX Advanced with Entertainment. The quotes I've received so far are a few hundred bucks off MSRP for cars that are about to arrive on the lot in the next 2 weeks. I'll wait a few months for prices to drop to 4 or 5% above invoice.

How about 38,900 (+ all fees, taxes, etc) for a 2010 base? Seems like a pretty good deal to me -- <$600 over invoice. Illinois dealer. Am I missing something?

I don't think anyone could really answer your question though.
It doesn't really do any good to post an out the door price where there are different taxes/fees by state.
What did you pay for the car before TTL?

Denver dealer just got first delivery of 2010 MDX and just soft quoted me $1,000 to $1,500 off of MSRP or around $46.5k at the mid for tech/ent. They have no incentive to deal as they are just getting the product now. I will let others take the MDX off their hands at these prices. Just another data point for the group.

Now I don't feel so bad about paying 42.7k+TTL for my USED 2009 MDX (Sport, Tech and Entertainment) with 9,200 miles. Delear threw in a ton of additional warranty and the car came with all-weather mat, running board and moldings on the doors. A comparable 2010 model would cost about 8-10k more and would have come with inferior warranty.

I just bought 2009 MDX with TECH+ENT today. I thought I got a pretty good deal from the dealer because I just paid a little bit under invoice price, 43K. But after checking this forum, I realized that I may still overpaid about 2K. I should check this forum before I walked into the deal this afternoon. However, today is the last day to entitle for the tax credit, I may gain some tax credit back to leveage it.

I've gotten a 36K quote for new 2009 Base MDX.
Can anyone give me a rundown of acceptable 'fees' for California? Seems when I got my last car (2004 Subaru over the net - best buying experience I ever had) other than Tax (L.A. County), Title and License, I paid a couple of bucks for a CA tire recycling tax and a few bucks for 'doc' fee.
Anyone have a recent 'itemized' price breakdown?
Thanks!
