new tech/ent by nabeelfarooqui

hi all,
just got my tech/ent puppy for 41,750 (with free protection package) + TTL from nashville,tn... from all the research that i did, this was the absolute best deal that i could pull in the mid-south... not as cheap as some in the north east (40,200 was the cheapest that i heard) but not bad, all in all...

now here is my (slight) dilemma... i really want to lease-to-buy this vehicle... i fought tooth and nail to get the cap cost down... but i realized during lease signing that the buy out price is based on msrp, not adjusted cap cost... due to religious restrictions on doing transactions with money borrowing/interest, i couldnt do the 3.9% finance, which would have turned out very sweet for me... but i wanted to know, are the buy out options in the end negotialbe?? and i am assuming that in case it isn't and i buy out with the end of term price, which is $21,850 (46%) i suppose that it will come out about $2750 more than if i were to have purchased it right now instead of leasing?? are my calculations correct - i took 46% of the $6000 that i negotiated down....

The car is worth the same amount at lease end, no matter how good a deal you negotiate on it... Money saved by negotiating a lower selling price is all reflected in a lower monthly payment. What you pay on a lease is the difference between the selling price and the residual (plus finance charges... but in your case, we'll just call it rent)... Since the residual is a fixed amount, then any discount on the selling price flows directly to the lessee.. If your selling price is $6000 less, then you saved the entire $6000, not some percentage of that amount.

Negotiating the residual at lease end? That will depend entirely on the market for the vehicle at the time. Some banks won't negotiate at all.. Others will negotiate if the value of the vehicle is far less than the buyout amount. There is no way to know in advance. However, residual percentages have been adjusted down, compared to the last few years, and may more accurately reflect actual market value.

If you can't borrow money, how will you pay the $22K for the car, three years from now? (not to be nosy... )

regards,
kyfdx

Hi,
Does anyone know whether or not the $2000 market support for MDX in May is still available in June? I spoke with a CT dealership this morning, and according to him, the $2000 market support is gone now. Anyone has the information and can confirm whether this is trure or not? Thanks.

Anyone in the New York tri-state area been able to get the $39,200 including destination pricing that several on this forum in CA and FL have posted? I am in NJ and seem to be hitting a brick wall at $40,600.

If so, appreciate if you could steer me to the dealer.

Thanks.

I have a question. it seems a good deal for tech pack is 39,200 including destination. a quick call to dealer through costco got 39991. In atlanta all of the dealers fees are 599. is this negotiable with a price of 39,200 or is it there way of adding extra profit??? I know every state is different but what are your thoughts?
This is why I usually buy used but the used ones aren't much cheaper than a good deal on new now a days. thanks for info!!
