just closed a deal today in the mid-south area (tennessee) for a tech/ent package with cargo tray and all weather mats for $41,500 + TTL. i had the most impossible time dealing with some of the dealers in the the northeast mentioned in these forums... they did admit that although they sold some customers vehicles for $40,200-$40,500, they were looking at the "long term relationship with them." meaning they would get the servicing done from them, buy future cars, etc... and then in the end, they were just giving me what i was getting locally... anyways, after all that, i am pretty satisfied with the deal, all things considered... the central region really is selling these cars well.. i could tell this by having such a hard time getting my color choice, and the fact that dealers really only had 4-5 vehicles in stock..... but my question for everyone is this... i used a lease calculator to plug in the number that the dealer gave me (http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm) and it is coming out cheaper than his calculations by about 20-30 dollars... i don't know where the extra money is coming from as we are both using the same numbers for money factor, residual, and cap cost... are there some fees that are calculated into the lease that is not accounted for using this calculator?? he said something weird about there being a 500 dollar fee that covers gap insurance that is in every honda financial lease... but the cap cost is still the same at 41,750... anyways, just hoping that this makes sense to someone and they can tell me what's up... thanks in advance...

I got a response from a dealer... "We are not able to sell you a 2009 Acura MDX Sport Package for that price, but we are able to sell one to you for $40,999 + tax & license fees." Could this be it or should maybe counter with another offer? |

I am getting quotes from DCH in montclair for $37000+TTL roughly for the base, and another $3500 on top of that for tech. I tried to get a better price, but they seemed pretty adamant that they cannot go any lower, as they have limited supply, and are positive that the remaining vehicles will be sold in no time. Any suggestions on the pricing above? Is this really the best I can do, or can I do better by going elsewhere, or speaking to a manager at DCH? Thanks in advance!

closed on a deal for 2009 MDXw/tech&ent. salesman said we have to "wait" up to 4-weeks for the car as they do not have the color we want. we gave him 2 color choices to make it easier for him to get the vehicle. he said he was not swapping the car from another dealer and that he will get inventory in June. my question is where he is getting this inventory from? i thought Acura is not making any more 2009 MDX. tks.
