| I was looking for an MDX in December 2008. I ended up buying a Certified Used 2008 Base MDX. It had 10,000 on it and looked like it had never been driven. Perfect condition. I negotiated the price down to $29K plus TTL. I got the 4.9% financing and the bumper to bumper warranty that comes with the Certified Used Acuras. I think some of the best deals you can get are on Certifed Used vehicles with 10,000 or less miles. | |

Replying to: mdxmsn (Jan 09, 2009 9:09 am) 2008 MDX Tech/Sport/Entertainment for 39,601. It was the owner's wife's car, in perfect condition, but has about 3k miles on it. New car warranty still applies plus some extra (not determined what that is exactly yet). thoughts? Help!

| Has anyone checked the validity of the internet specials on Open Road Acura of East Brunswick? and do you know what additional fees there are? this provides great comparison shopping info and leverage, even for those of us who can't practically travel that far to buy. | |
| I too have been looking at the 09 MDX with Tech - best price I've gotten is $38,300 thats with the $2k cash back. Bummer that they stopped offering the cash back and the low finance rate.... Not sure if I will go ahead now. | |

| Does anyone else think Acura is making a big mistake by not offering both the $2k in marketing support and the .9% financing? Seems like they're now trying to push leases again. Think I'll wait 'til their Jan numbers tank again and see what Feb brings or look at a Highlander. | |

I bought my '09 MDX-base model on Jan. 5 (they don't sell the tech or sport packages here in AK because many of the components don't work). I paid $35,500 for the car (white with light interior) and with title/fees walked out the door for $36,000 (no taxes in Anchorage) with the 2.9% financing and no trade-in. They wouldn't go any lower or even throw in a cargo mat I still feel I got a good deal... until the next day after work it wouldn't start! I haven't decided if it was a fluke, the cylinoid, or if I should blame it on the cold weather (it was -11 that day for a high and hasn't been over 0 for the last few weeks). Right now they're blaming the problem on it being new and "tight." We'll see if it continues and if I'll have to already start using the warranty. I didn't like the lady on the TLC phone #, they said it would take up to 8 hours to get someone to my car due to the "extreme conditions" in my area. I gave up on her and got someone else to get it started and it didn't need jumping. Go figure. It's almost easier to get a friend to tow you than wait for them to rescue you. Either way, I've gotten 4 check-up calls from the dealer this last few days making sure everything is o.k.. The guys at Continental have been great (although it did take 3 guys to figure out how to lower the spare tire). So if any of you want to buy up here and take a road trip to the lower-48... do it in the summer. |
