Does anyone know when 09 will be available? I'd like to wait to get a better deal if wait time is about a month.

Not to play devil's advocate, but I thought the PTG was useless until I had it. I wouldn't call it indispensible, but it's really convenient and makes the MDX even more luxurious I guess. But it is another $500 or so.

2009's are rumored to be out in September.

my thoughts on this rash of activity from potential mdx purchasers:

1. like hotdog said, if you need a car, have the means and are getting invoice minus incentive, it's a good deal. That being said, i've been putting off this mdx purchase for the wife for the past 2 years, every year the same dealers here from me and then i disappear into the woodwork b/c nobody would really deal at my price point, which was invoice, until the gas "crisis" hit. so yes, time is definitely on your side when it comes to cars and gas guzzlers.

2. there are more than a few dealerships in MA/NH/RI area who have 150 mdx's just sitting on their lots - with the 2009 already advertised on acura's side, you dont' have to have 1/8 of a brain to figure out who's going to give way in a negotiation.

3. like i've said before, you need to figure out what you want to pay, then start the ball rolling by calling the dealership. you'll never really know what the market will take if you don't do some of the legwork. if you think you'd be cool paying $500 below invoice, email a dealer and say so - it really can't hurt.

4. if any of you MA folks need help, let me know. Acura of Boston is where i got my car. Prime Acura also offered close to the price i paid but without the color combo selection.

Thanks, hodog16. Sep. makes sense because all MDX Low APR/Rebate/Marketing Support end on Sep. 2nd.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for the great input. I appreciate it greatly. If it was not for you guys, I would not even thought about putting in the price point that I did. I will try to see if I can get a deal on the Tech package. I do like the back up camera. Nav- system, I prefer the portable. I will let you guys know how I do. I hope to get it this weekend. I hope my experience will help someone else just as your posts have helped me.

Seems like a good deal to me. I can't beat it in the NYC metro area.

Thanks to you all guys for sharing your thoughts. If not the info I got here, I would still shop for Highlander or CX-9.

I bought a TSX last year. I told them I will pay by cash so I got the "cash price". But during paper work, they still did credit check and approved the 1.9% financing for me. The dealer told me to drive the car home the same day (without giving them the check), and said if I want to do cash, just bring a certified check tomorrow.
My point is I don't think cash or financing should make any difference on pricing.

I do not think Acura has rebate now. They have 2500 mtg support (cash) or 1500 mtg support (1.9%). These two are not stackble.
