I would offer a few hundred below what you calculate for invoice minus the correct rebate. In other words get into their holdback some and offer that. Some people in this forum have been able to get into the holdback, so it can be done. Depending on your patience level, you can work the dealer by walking out, using the dealers to bid against each other, etc. Supply should be over demand (although I've heard that MDX's still sell well in some parts of NJ) so don't let the dealer make you think these are flying off the lots like a Prius. Bottom line you should feel like you got a good deal if you can get the car for invoice minus the rebate, plus or minus a few hundred bucks. If nothing else ask them to throw in some accessories, that's what I did when we were only a few hundred apart in numbers. Others will probably have better suggestions, but either way good luck!

Replying to: chandra0102 (Jul 08, 2008 8:07 pm) Does that mean mid-August? The deal I went to said the 2009's will not be here until late November at the earliest, probably Dec. I have been doing some shopping, appears to be a ton of 2008's on the lot. thanks! |

You can buy your extended warranty from any Acura dealer, there are 2 dealers selling those online for cheaper, buy it from one of them (I forget their websites). I doubt your dealer will match their cost. |

Replying to: chandra0102 (Jul 08, 2008 8:07 pm) I just bought a 2008 MDX Entertainment and Tech package, $46,610 MSRP, $42,398 invoice, for $39,599 with no negotiating. That was the price the internet sales manager offered. I probably could have driven the price $500-$,1000 lower but didn't want to because the guy was so pleasant to deal with. BTW, Radley Acura in Arlington, VA.

Replying to: chandra0102 (Jul 08, 2008 5:25 pm) Now I have a need of a good quality car cover for my new MDX for outdoor use since the car will be outside until about Nov, when I make space for it in the garage. Any ideas of a source or brand? Thanks for everyone's helpful ideas and tips, etc. Harish Chandra Any ideas on some sources of good quality car covers for this model
