Good deals in NY? by recca

Hi all. I'm planning to buy a 2008 MDX but don't have much experience dealing with the car dealers. If you have any pricing, advice or recommendations on the Acura dealers in NY, please let me know. Any information will be appreciated. Also, I want test drive the MDX, do they require any deposit to do so?

1) They should not require a deposit to test drive the car - any car. Leave if they do
2) the web is a wealth of information. If you use the site you are on - Edmunds - you can get competitive quotes in your area as well as find out how much inventory the dealer has - the dealer I bought from had 150 MDXs in stock. I think I got a great deal in DC. Invoice minus $2000. I don't think that they could have gone any lower.

There is no guarantee that the leasing company will sell for less then residual despite this news. Also i thought they carried insurance to protect themselves from such a loss.

I am also in Northern Maryland and have received a similar deal:
Base 34600 (incl. dest.)
Body Side Mldg 188
Stripe 50
Tow Package 716
OTR 37999 (incl. taxes, tags, doc fees..etc.)
Has anyone in the area got a better deal than this? I have been working on this for about a month and this looks like the best I can do.....or should I wait. Inventory remains very high at most of the local dealers. Does anyone know if Acura is going to sweeten the incentives next month?

Just don't expect the incentive financing along with it.

I am willing to pay $35k on a base MDX with 0.9% financing. A dealer told me he can't do both.

He also told me, "let's wait for July, things might improve." I don't know if he was just BSing me or he knows for a fact that Acura may sweeten things a bit more by combining the $2000 rebate with the incentive financing, next month. Let's see what happens come July.
