Replying to: josephd05 (May 12, 2008 3:22 pm) The 2.9% or $2,000 off wasn't available when I leased our car a few weeks ago (if it had been available I might have made a purchase but am still nervous about resale value on these cars with $5 premium fuel just around the corner).   In any event when I ran the numbers, it worked out cheaper to take $2,000 in cash and do 4.9% financing than to do 2.9% financing with the same money down.

I just purchased a 2008 MDX with Tech/Entertainment packages yesterday from ED Voyles Acura in Atlanta, GA. Was offered $40,000 + 499 document fee cash price or $42,000 + 499 document fee with 0.9% financing. Since I am from Florida and will pay taxes, tag and title there this was a OTD price. Took the financing. The Internet Sales manager was a great gentleman to work with, totally up front with info about $2000 factory to dealer cash and 0.9% financing. I bought several add on items (tow package, running boards, wind deflector, cargo organizer etc. and he gave me a really great deal on them also. If you want to buy an MDX and want to walk away feeling great about the experience then I highly recommend talking to the Internet manager at Ed Voyles. Replying to: fxcai (May 15, 2008 8:54 am) the tech package is a factory option pkg- basically the base plus nav, backup camera and premium (allegedly) audio system. I can tell no difference between the stereo in the tech pkg and the base stereo. You buy the tech pkg for the nav system. The entertainment pkg adds the DVD/video player and heated rear seats.   All season mats and wheel locks are separate dealer installed options. Sometimes they are included along with the all season trunk mat and the mud guards in what dealers call the pro or protection package- again, a dealer installed (and largely profit motivated) option.
