Anyone unlucky enough to buy an MDX on May 1st lost $2000. Starting May 2nd and running through June 30th, there is $2000 cash to dealer support from Acura involved on all MDX models. So, purchasing at $1500 under invoice on May 2nd is the equivalent of buying at $500 over invoice, the day before! The best time to go vehicle shopping is during a recession, provided one can spare time away from the bread line. PS: The $2000 incentive does not apply to the capitalized cost of leasing an MDX. Tough choice: I wanted to lease an MDX but that $2000 off involved in buying one is mighty tempting! |

Bought a new MDX on Wednesday (4/31) at 4.9 for 60 months. Now I see that they dropped to 2.9. Is there anything I can do?? Am very frustrated - with dealer and myself... Know I should have waited. Actually changed length of loan because payment was high - now could have got the shorter term I wanted for a similar price. Any ideas? Calls into the dealer and waiting to hear back...

What about the poor soul who bought an MDX for $42,000 cash on May 1st only to helplessly watch someone else on May 2nd doing a deal on the exact same model MDX with the same salesman for only $40,000? If one drives 10,000 miles in the first year, that $2000 savings will just about pay for the year's gas!

Also, my trade in offer was $2200 higher than the stupid greedy dealer who rejected my $41K offer. One thing that I don't understand is that many of you have mentioned paying a document fee of $500, but I paid only $50, why is there such a huge difference?

I'm thinking of leasing an MDX because many dealers at this time are refusing to deal on SUV trade-ins and I don't want to be stuck somewhere down the road with an unsellable vehicle. No doubt about it: now is a good time to buy an MDX if the gas expense and the possibility of getting stuck with an unsellable vehicle doesn't bother you. Enjoy your new ride! (I drove it twice recently and loved it). |

Replying to: hpowders (May 03, 2008 5:34 am) In the Acura site, it is said that 0.9% financing offer is valid for through 7/7/2008. Then I guess that 2K-support is also for through 7/7/2008. I'm planing to buy one early of this July. Can anyone answer the question?
