I'm in the metro Atlanta area. I have a price for 2008 MDX w/ tech pkg. The best price I have gotten is $40395 (including dest chg) plus $495 doc fee, $42 title fee and tax so my true otd price would be $43,795 true drive off the lot price. Note that this does not include any options such as a roof rack etc... and that this is the base w/ tech pkg, no power lift gate. The doc fee is something every dealer in my area charges Comparing invoice prices, including dest and doc fees I end up just less than $500 over invoice. Please give me your brutally honest opinions.

Valone1966- By my math (and correct me if I'm wrong) it sounds like you are getting your MDX for about $7 below invoice (before those pesky doc fees which dealers cling to for dear life). Am I correct? I researched invoice on that car to be $40,402. I am in the market for the same car and would consider traveling to ATL to buy it. Would you please give me the name of the dealer you are dealing with? It sounds like a great deal, though it's important to remember, Acura vehicles have a 3% dealer holdback (which would viewed as profit, depending on how long the car has been on their lot). The holdback ($1332.30) plus the doc fee ($495) equals $1827, the dealer is still posting over $1800 in profit on your sale. Some in these forums might have you work the dealer harder in order to dig into some of that $1800, but I personally think that any deal done at invoice price is a good deal. Again, please respond with the name of the dealer you're working with- they may move another unit just like yours if I can get the same deal!

Sounds like a great deal I don't see any reason you wouldn't pull the trigger. |

Also, since sales tax varies by area it's best not to quote numbers that include it. It looks like you are saying you are getting the car for $42,600, + 3465.59 for sales tax + 1287.55 which includes title, registration and "documentation fees". |

Yes jmpage2 that is what I'm saying invoice is 42400 and they want to sell it to me for 42600 two hundred over invoice. according to what has been listed in here it seemed like a good deal. Unless edmunds is wrong on the invoice price. Tax is tax 8.1% the title and plate fee out here are based on the price of the car"s invoice so there quite high compared to most states. His doc fee was 225 most out here r 365. So i just needed some feedback because on the east coast it seems deals are better and i haven't read anything from out this way.
