| I don't think the imminent recession has really sunk in to the dealers heads quite yet. I have just started shopping in the Boston area. At this point I'm not going to even talk deals until after Presidents day. Normally a big sales weekend for car dealers, I hope if their numbers are not meeting forecasts they will get scared into some better deals. I do note that NO Acura dealers even bother advertising in the Boston Globe. Not a good sign for potential buyers, and judging by the number of MDX's on the road around here they may be doing just fine. | |

Because the accessories were already installed they could cut a whole lot more off the cost of the add-ons. The 19" chrome wheels are wrapped in the Michelin Latitudes. Slightly harder of a ride than the stock wheels, but not much. And the $42.5 included destination.

Hi, I have been looking through the posts but haven't been able to find a solid answer. Would appreciate input re: what is the real dealer cost meaning invoice minus any holdbacks for the 2008 Acura MDX with Tech/Ent only. No added accessories. Prior to Destination and TTL. I have seen 42,395 as a listed invoice. I have a quote for 41,682 (Not including dest, TTL). Can I do better? This is in central NJ. Thanks |

Replying to: hkthkt (Feb 11, 2008 10:15 am) + $715: Destination Charge = $42397: is invoice price Dealer holdback... is between dealers and manufacture.... (for acura it is 3% of MSRP) Most of the time... dealers don't want to discuss with you about that...(they have to pay rent, electric, loan interest, etc… ) unless they are so desperate to move the car out of their lots... * They can sell you at (or below) invoice and make money on higher doc fee, extended warranty, finance, accessories… FYI: Holdback: http://www.edmunds.com/advice/incentives/holdback/index.html Acura Jan sale: http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2008/02/01/076471.html

| Getting quotes from area dealers. Best so far is $40,799. Possible accessories include sport running boards ($618 installed) and body moldings ($249 installed). Also trying to get Bernardi pricing on AcuraCare 6/100/no deductible $1055. Anyone in central Texas know of or have gotten better deals? | |
