I made the deal at David McDavid Acura in Plano. The initial quote from the internet request was 1500 off MSRP. However, I decided to contact a salesman that was mentioned in a previous post (initials TS). His quote was 38000 for a base MDX with 495 for body side molding and 995 for sport running boards. After a few days, he called and I made an offer that was accepted.

Hopefully, you can benefit from my experience and get a better deal. If you want accessories make sure you include them in your offer. Try starting at list price or lower before including any additional money in your offer; I failed to do this. Also, I failed to read the fine print on the retail order. There was a charge of 65.99 labelled Dealer Inventory Tax. According to the fine print, this is a tax for the dealer and not for the consumer. So, look out for this and decline to pay it.

Also, if you make a deal with other dealers, make sure you know the cost of the documentation fee. McDavid charges $55. I have seen posts that indicate the cost from other local dealers is $150. This is another way the dealers add to the cost on the back end.

Glendale Acura best price that I found with great service and absolutely NO sales pressure. Most honest salesman I've ever talked to is N.V.

Hi - I'm looking for 2008 Acura MDX in north west area - around Seattle/Portland and the price that I got from Dick Hanna Accura is 41966 inlcuding Northwest package.
The internet Sales manager says -
Invoice is 40602
NW package - 400
His profit - ~900$

(I have seen a post from one of the user that he got a quote from california dealer for the above MDX for 39752$ including destination..is any one offering that price around Seattle/Portland)

Could you please share what is the best rate that you got around this area?

Thanks!

Check my post 5821. You will get all the details. If you have any other question, write me at technocratlive.com. You should get atleast $500 lower from your initial quote in this area.

Just an FYI that the Costco member auto buying program includes the MDX. Here in central NJ one dealer quoted invoice + 900 for base MDX.

we went with Springfield Acura who quoted us straight invoice for base model MDX [though the real invoice price is ??]
We got (writing a little hard to read but I am pretty sure this is right) - all these are supposed to be the Costco prices --
car 37364
backup sensors 695
wheel locks 149
body side moldings 375
all season mats 129
cargo tray 129
cargo cover 183
door edge guards 159
anti theft etching 188
door guard protectors 149
lost key protection 249
--taxable total supposed to be 39769, then + nj sales tax 7% + NJ title fee + NJ tire fee + $354 to register + $258 documentation = grand total of 43,331.40 out the door.
Did we get a good deal? What do others think of Costco program? btw financing was 2.9% for a 3-year term, I think that is Acura's deal thru Mar3 for those who are doing a 3 year term.

That is about on par with what I was able to get from Lynnwood Acura, just north of Seattle. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more details, rglasser AT gmail.com
