Replying to: andre1 (Dec 07, 2007 2:16 pm) Also, the lack of answer regarding accessories tells me that the accessories were extra and there's the rub - after adding these (inflated) prices in, the deal is not so much better than some others. Like I have said numerous times in this forum - it is a mistake to look at getting invoice price alone - you need to focus on the absolute total price, including the accessories (installed prices) if you really want to know how good a deal is...just my opinion, but to each his own...

What they are focused on is the total price including financing, accessories, warranties, add-ons and trade-in. If they cut $500 off the price of the car, but get it back on the trade-in, it's essentially the same to them. And it's the same to the customer too, although sometimes it may not seem that way. This is often a trick used by the dealer to make the customer happy without actually making any real price concessions. For example, I noticed that some people have received "less" of a deal on the car. At the same time, they did a good job of cutting the prices on the accessories including installation. While others have posted better prices on the car, but have paid more for the accessories. It's the total price that matters. Please note that this post is not directed toward any poster(s) in any way or meant to be an indictment in any way. It is just a suggestion of posting prices in a more standardized form so that other forum members can make better sense of the data in making their own purchasing decisions. |

| Purchase an '08 Nimbus Grey Metallic w/ Ebony, Tech/Ent. yesterday. $42,398 (including desti, wheel locks, all weather mats and the rear cargo cover). All in all I feel I did fairly well. And got a good price on my '01 in trade. | |
| I notice that a lot of you have been getting the Tch for about $500 under invoice and the Tech/Ent for about invoice- give or take a little. So, that being said, what would be a fair/good deal for the Sport and Ent? Would about $500-$700 over invoice be good? I hope to purchase within the next week or so in MD/VA. (DC area). I did see one recent post of a sale of the tech/Ent from Rosenthal for invoice. Thanks. | |

Hello all, I was quoted a base MDX with roof rack, cross bars, running boards, wood steering wheel, wood knob for 39K (included destination). This is approximately invoice price. I have 2 questions. Is this a good price? Currently, Acura financing is offerring 2.9% for 36 months, 4.9% for 60 months until 12/14. Is this financing deal getting better after the 12/14 that you know off? Thanks! |
