Do you think 44,100 is good for 07 Sport/Ent? If I take 07 I can get the 2.9/3 years or 4.9/4years financing? That would be $44,100 plus tax.

Hi,

I originally was looking at 2007 MDX with Tech and Ent and got the pricing via Costco's pricing. They put me in touch with Smithtown Acura and if I remember right, it was 200 over invoice or 43.3 and then he mentioned an '08 for I think 1,300 more (or 43,600) and I started thinking it was worth it to go for the newer car. Anyway, looks like your price is 100 over invoice of 43,996 so based on this very unscientific method, seems good. For what it's worth, I know that that when the 2007s came out, they put a $2,000 rebate out for 2006. My friend bought an '06 in Sept 2007 for about $6,000 under MSRP for tech model but that was probably due to the redesign (I don't have exact numbers with me but I do in my office) and wouldn't count on that based on what's out there now.

krspo,

Do you know if there are any special financing rates for 08 models?

As of now there are not any special financing offers on the 08's. If anyone knows when they started the offers on the 07's that may help give an idea when we would start to see them on 08's.

Thanks, for the info Bill. I didn't see any rebates posted anywhere on the 07's. I'd love to know if that is a possibility because that would affect my negotiations.

I found the details I was looking for. His sticker for 2006 MDX, which I have in front of me, said $43,315. His price on order form on 9/23/06 was 37,152, a difference of $6,163 (although probably some standard fees that were on actual contract not reflected). Kind of irrelevant in this market but I was really in awe when I saw it and what made me start looking at MDX in first place (as opposed to Mazda CX-9). Again, that was last year before redesign so that probably factored into Acura's decision to provide rebate.

My husband and I test-drove both the RDX and MDX yesterday. We definitely liked the MDX better -- the RDX felt more like an entry level SUV. The only thing I would have prefered was a brown wood tone on the dash rather than the grayish black wood....not sure what's up with that...

We were interested in buying an '07 MDX but there were no base models available in a color that we liked. We made an offer of $250 over invoice on a base '08 MDX.

Dealer came back with $800 over -- we walked out...we're not that desperate. We may just buy out our leased '04 Sequoia and go back to Acura next Spring or Summer. When is the best time for incentives?

Next summer, unless inventories swell before then and even this year, I think I only saw interest rate type incentives, no rebates. 2006 was unique.
