I'm looking for a nimbus grey/taupe 2007 MDX with sport package and so far the two quotes I have gotten are the following: John Eagle: $42946 before TTL Sterling McCall: $43144 before TTL Seems a little high. Also Sterling McCall quoted me a 6.25% state tax, but I thought the TX state tax was 8.25. Would appreciate any input/guidance. Thanks!

Just bought fully (I mean "fully" loaded) 2008 blk/blk 2008 MDX. MSRP as configured: $47,900. Invoice: $42,900. Out the door price: $43,897.59 I bought the VIN number off the incoming vehicles sheet, as 2008s not arrived at Radley Acura in Bailey's Crossroads; push was on to sell 2007s, of course. Sales Mgr rejected the first deal that was $500 lower. Also got 10 percent off int/ext accessories installed. First time with this dealership, but loved the experience. Sales rep was the best I've ever had, she went to the mat with her manager based on my take-it-or-leave final offer and finally got approval from general manager. |

Price includes destination charge of $715, but no taxes (except on down payment), title or license. I also had printed out online coupon from the dealership's website worth an additional $250. At my request, the finance manager ran about 10 different scenarios and I ended up with the preferred lease from AHF. It was a much better deal despite qualifying for 2.9 interest promotion from Acura and participating dealers that expires on 9/4/2007. Right before I took the deal, I called another Acura dealership 75 miles away on my cell phone to see if they would bite -- he put me on hold for several minutes, then came back and said "Man, I can't even come close, much less match your deal. If there's no mistake, you should take it." Note there are several Radley dealerships - this one is in Bailey's Crossroads, VA. Honestly, I think they looked at it as an opportunity to avoid putting another vehicle on their lot and didn't have to add to their stock or inventory. As far as they were concerned, it was a VIN number on paper. They knew within a few minutes that I had done my homework (thanks to this forum) and was prepared to buy a 2008, so why let me walk out the door? A lot of credit is also due to the sales rep who pushed her bosses to get the deal done. This was my first experience with a female sales rep at a woman-owned dealership -- I will go back there when my other vehicle (Audi) comes off lease in late 2008. |

I expect it will be hard to spot much difference between the 07's and the 08's. I'll see if I can find out more tomorrow and post it.
