I'm in chicago too. I posted previously that I picked up an MDX tech for $40,004 (just 3 weeks ago from Palatine IL ); this included destination charge.
I also bought many extras, total out the door was more like 46.5 or so (I purchased many accessories and extended warranty up to 120 k, 7 yrs, etc). You should not pay more than invoice for any 07 MDX. I think mine was 100 or so below invoice.

I am being quoted $29,900 for a '05 MDX base with around 28K miles, certified pre-owned. The dealer had it listed for $32k I checked the forums for '05 and some people paid that much for a brand new one in '05.

Anybody bought a CPO MDX recently ?

Man, that's a long post, especially from a PDA. Yikes. Anyways;

I'm not so sure that you can bank on getting this huge trade on your B9. In 90% of situations you get more on a vehicle by selling it outright than trading it to a dealer, especially a dealer where you are not buying a new vehicle (selling B9 to a Subie dealer and then buying MDX from an Acura dealer).

As you say, buying a car and selling it in less than 7-10 years usually doesn't make a lot of sense unless you get an incredible deal on a vehicle that has amazing resale value... then you can effectively do your own "lease" where you are the bank!

It sounds like in your situation leasing would make the most sense... interest rates on leases are very low, and can also be negotiated.

My wife and I have driven the B9 and the MDX and there's no comparison. The MDX, especially with sports package absolutely blows the doors off of the B9. MDX is also nicer, better driving than the new HL but the HL will take some sales away from MDX and others as it's the "new kid" on the block.

My wife and I will probably be negotiating for an MDX around April/May of next year when deals heat up again. Acura is rumored to be introducing new NAV system and maybe other changes on the 09 MDX so it might be a time to get a really good deal on an '08.

How did you get so low? I think it is because you have all the options and accessories. It increases the profit for the dealer so they can lower their invoice price. Overall, of course they make much more money as the options are all way overpriced.

Dear all:

From the advise of this forum. I am at the dealer right now. I bought it in Invoice price!!! Which is $40,100 includes the destination charges! After this I think I need the roof rail, the saleman persuaded me to get like a invicible protection for the hood...etc for $695. And the roof rail for $380+/-. Kind of pricy but that's includes the installation. Well.....lowest quote I got is $40,400 before this ....so good luck all

695$ for hood protection? $40,400 without the hood protection is a better deal than $40,795 with hood protection.

How will you even know if they applied it? How is it any better than the clearcoat put on at the factory? (it isn't.)
