Just bought my Silver/Ebony MDX 2007 yesterday with Tech + Entertainment and Protection Package (costs about $450 MSRP and apparently added by all North West dealers to sweeten their profits) from Acura of Seattle for $43,100.00 (price exclusive of tax and licensing). Very clean & courteous dealership and friendly associates but I hated that they (and all dealerships in the area) are imposing the Protection Package on you. Plus, there seems to be no documentation on what the protection package has and one only has to go by what the dealers guys tell you. We tried negotiating with the Bellevue dealership but they were cocky and uninterested. Wanted us to share my SSN and DOB before they would even give us a final number. Baddddddd experience... Has anyone else bought from a NW dealer? What was the price? |

Purchase price : $41665 Tax : $1147 Tags: $219 Total $43031 Is this a good deal to go for. Or Should I bargain more. Also is the sports package really worth adding. Thanks PS - I got this quote from PA Gublooo |

Replying to: negotiator (May 20, 2007 7:48 pm) Protection package 1 includes: This package includes All-Season Floor Mats and a matching Cargo Tray to protect the carpet of both the passenger and cargo areas of the cabin. Wheel locks are also included. $355 MSRP Protection package 2 includes: This package includes All-Season Floor Mats and a heavy-duty carpeted Cargo Mat to protect the carpet of both the passenger and cargo areas of the cabin. Wheel locks are also included. $320 MSRP This is from the ACURA web site, I didn't see any for $450 MSRP, do you know what they said it included?

Replying to: uncle_churtle (May 21, 2007 8:42 pm) P.S. I liked the MDX very much as it has a supremely comfortable ride and top crash scores better than almost anything out there including NOW updated IIHS rear crash (which earned top marks). But it does not have the reflexes (i.e., steering) or the rapid pick up of my FX. I also think Acura can learn a few exterior design lessons from other luxury cars, making their exteriors Stunning as opposed to just plane polarizing. Despite my minor complaints, it is among the best crossovers out there. |

Replying to: shopping4mdx (May 22, 2007 11:15 am) They said they'd include all weather floor mats, a cargo try and wheel locks. The total MSRP of just these 3 is less than what they quoted so I am going to find out what all they added. I am happy with the price, regardless. Am also eager to know what others have paid, especially if they got it for lower

Replying to: negotiator (May 22, 2007 1:27 pm) In any case, I know what you mean by adding these packages. I just got a quote for a 2007 MDX w/tech. $41003+TTL and it included auto dimming rear view mirror (not sure I really need it) plus some type of protection package. The dealer said it was a $700+ value and he was giving it to me for $615. |

I am interested in the 2007 MDX. I didn't go through the internet, I really don't want 4 dealers calling me every day. I got what I think is a good quote in the Washington DC area, please let me know what you think. MDX Sport with body side molding and roof rack (no crossbars) for $42,500. The dealer is adding $299 processing charge, not sure what that is? Can I do better? Thanks |
