I just picked up a silver Sport for $43,750. Added sport running boards and D/N mirror for $500, $250 doc fees, $25.50 title & tags and 7.5% state tax out the door for $47,863. I came in $1,000 above Consumer Reports dealer cost ($41,075). Didn't haggle very hard. I'm pretty easy going and so were they. All over the phone with the internet contact at Park Acura in Akron, OH. AMAZING ride! I would say you overpaid by 2500. ( 2000 if dest charge was included in you 43,750).

Bought at Buerkle Acura in Minneapolis, MN and had the best buying experience ever. I have a Sport in Black. The vehicle is exceeding my expectations in every way. My advice: Go buy one and quit worrying about a couple hundred bucks. Besides, if you beat the dealers up too badly, it'll hurt the resale.

Replying to: msindallas (Apr 18, 2007 6:34 pm) I can well afford a 50k vehicle and one of the ways I accumulated my wealth was saving on a few items, especially ones that depreciate, such as a car. $1000 is $1000. Paying an extra grand for a car is equivalent to handing some sales guy an extra 1000 dollar bill. Its my money and I don't just hand out extra 1000s to car dealers.
