I bought an '04 Touring w/o navigation. Now have 30K miles. Just wanted to pass along my thoughts. Good Stuff: The ride is very comfortable and the reliability has been great. The service people have been very nice, and they always wash it. I've only used the four wheel drive once, but it was lots of fun. Value seems to be retained pretty well. Bad Stuff: The car pulls to the right and I can't get that fixed. The sounds system is very poor. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad, but they put in this big ghetto blaster subwoofer in the back and it makes the back end vibrate. It totally over powers the rest of the sound system and I constantly have to fiddle with the nobs to make the music sound good. I saw Consumer Reports rated it very bad as well. I've taken it in three times, but they can't fix it. I listen to talk radio a lot so I can deal with it. Outside of the pull to the right and the very poor sound system it's a very good vehicle. You can't have everything. I get about 17.7 mpg city/hwy. More like 15.5 in city and 20.5 on the hwy. I wish they would give you the option of having the third seat or storage capacity. There would be a lot of room there and the third seat isn't all that great. |
